Hi
I've made yet another little pack for my own career team, Team Energifyn - TDC. In my career I've got Adriano Malori on contract, which I rewon the Italian ITT championship with.
The pack includes an Italian NC jersey and an Italian NC TT helmet.
Textures in the spoiler
Spoiler Here's the jersey with TT plis
And here with normal RR plis
The helmet texture

Hi guys
I know I promised to make a Saxo Bank - Sungard face pack. But I have been so busy the last couple of weeks, so when I've settled down to relax with PCM, I have only been playing with my career and making additions to my career. I'm so sorry but i've lost my interest in making faces for the time being.
Here's the faces which I reached to finish.
The pack contains 6 riders, including: face, arms, legs, eyes and hands to every rider. To download click at the picture and you'll be led to mediafire's downloading side.

When you remove the .dds cyclists template, or as you said, flatten out the wrinkles, then it's obvious that the plis in the .tga file takes over, because it will only react to the .tga file, since there's no template to count on.
But still I wanna make it totally clear for you that the .tga plis (and .tga files in overall) is very different from the cyclists template files.
The cyclists template files are terain files. These files have such effect in game, that they will make the wrinkles and other edits look like 3D effect in game. What the .tga files does, are that they attaches itselfs to the 3D mesh files and sort of "colors" the mesh with the .tga image.
So when I say that the .tga plis doesn't effect in game, it's of course provided that you have the normal cyclist template files. And yes! Of course when you've got a .tga file with a plis, then the plis is a part of the .tga file, which attaches itselfs to the 3D mesh. But when there's already one (In the Cyclists template), then it does only "overwrites" the existing wrinkles (plis) in the cyclists template. This means that with no plis in the .tga file, you will get the exact same result in game!
So no! The .tga plis does not effect in game.
YES IT DOES!!! Look at the legs for an examble!, there are two wrinkles above the grey stroke, wich is at both pics. That is the prove! Try to take a TT Plis and a RR plis, and take pics of it like here, then u will see.

Did you even read what I said? It seems like you haven't got the point yet.

Hi raphraph83, as I said in the post before, then I'm not very motivated of making faces at the time being, I'm so sorry
But I'm quite sure that Ybodonk once made Valverde, so try to PM him or something.

Take a TT plis and a normal RR plis, and look at the difference. You will see. If ther's an effect on the pants, where you can see wrinkles from the plis, then the effect is en the rest of the shirt to! |

Well the discussion is long gone however I'd like to take a point:
is the game able to recognize the plis multiplied on the .tga file and 'take it out' in order to apply its own plis? I don't really think the game can do that, so I'd say that the plis does affect. Without the plis in the .tga file you'll have wrinkles, but with the plis you'll have a lot more (looking better imo).

I'm not quite sure if i'd understand your question right. But no, it won't "recognize" the plis, because the plis is just a part of the individual .tga file.
But as you are telling, it "takes it out" in the order that it will only overwrite the already existing plis in the cyclist template. But this is only provided as if the cyclist template's and the .tga file's plis is the same - So in that case yes!
- Here I refer to the discussion me and @Maddrengen had earlier. 2010 and earlier shirts doesn't have the same plis as the cyclist template, therefore they will make some small changes with some improper lines I admit.
But with the 2011 plis (which is the same as in the cyclist template) it will not affect, because it will only overwrite it, as I said before and what you asked about.
Just to annoy, I think it looks quite improper to have some superfluous lines arround the cyclist template's plis. Just my opinion

Andy i need your help, you said that i need to do this:
1. Save the face picture to your computer and convert them to .tga files
2. Give the face a name like Basso_face for example and place it in: C:/Programs/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager/3D/Cyclist/Skin - or something like that. It's easy to find.
3. Go into the database (Full Editor, Lachi`s Editor...) in STA_TGA_skin.
There are 4 boxes. First one is the ID, just create a new not used one. Type in basso in the 2nd (gene_sz_tga_skin) and 4th box (Constant).
Don't worry about the 3rd box - just place something similar to the others.
4.Go into DYN_cyclist find the rider you want to link the face to and search for the fkIdtga_skin. Type in the ID you have created in the last table.
Well i looked this thread and have seen that you already converted them, thats good but i got a problem, I did everything what you said after step 1 and have place them in the folder, i tested it with Roche and it all worked fine, i see he's face, but when i do the same with Basso or Bennati it doesn't work :S |

Okay which editor did you use? to help you best i would appreciate a screenshot of your tables. It's really important that the gene_sz_tga_skin table is the same as your face name, but without the _face
It seems like you havn't installed many faces, so you wouldn't be close to the maximum of faces, but to ensure - how many faces have you installed?

Yeah you have to type the Skin ID you've made, in the cyclist table in gene_sz_tga_skin. So if you've made Basso's face in Sta_tga_skin with the ID as for example "14". Then you have to type "14" in gene_sz_tga_skin.
If you are able, then i still would like to see a screenshot. And by the way i am not very familiar with the fast editor, as I use the Advanced editor V4.

Sorry, you have to type the name. If your .tga is called basso_face, then type basso in the cyclist table.
