Giro d'Aosta is up in full now.
Spoiler I honestly don't know what is up with Orangina Castillo just going in the break on the second day and keeping the lead on the next by effectively going in the break again in the first climb Even stranger is that Yamashita wins a mountain time trial.
Nice race by Pulido tho who raced smart to and with some help of Colombo on the last mt stage to 4th in GC. Also consolidating tt by Cuadros in the end, who was sold maybe a bit under value here..
Insane ride by Peiffer on the last mt stage, I honestly was cheering for him but he just got caught on the line, a bit of a shame really.

Did not see this coming from Castillo. Gonzalez with some good results again. Good riding by Pizarro as well, he seems to be amongst the best.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ehm, that picture is not Sklar for sure
Team was a but meh, but decent enough results from reduced sprints and Sklar in the TT.

Yes Pizarro was really strong on stage 2, made for a solo 25k to go and the only one who looked like he could catch up to Castillo until he faded.

I didn't know my guys were going to carry out a controlled demolition this week.
Absolutely stunning.
RIP Adam Yates' white jersey though. Sacrifices were definitely made to put Taylor in pink.

First 2 stages of the Giro up, due to a little mistake by me when doing the raceroute pictures stage 2 was in danmark, but the rest is the stylus variant. I have to say the stage design in those is incredible, a shame he was banned from the forum. |

Expected time loss in the TT but stage 2 was interesting with the gaps opening up, fortunately Nizzolo got 5th in the sprint and De Gendt stayed safe in 12th. Thanks bikex!

Good first 2 stages for us, all we need to do is make sure Di Gregorio is as outside the top positions as possible and that he doesn't lose important energies!

Except for a crash there's no way Bunzl we lose this so. Then again, it is Bunzl we are talking about..
Solid TTT that puts Verona just 1 minute down on TVG, stronger than Feryn & Leopard. Time to get into botds.

Did we just drop our team leader on the TTT?
This is going to be a long Giro..

fantastic...one man down already (Evans ), only one man didn't lose time so far (Uran) and a TTT that was an underperformance...not how we want to start things...

Thought the Suntory luck had changed with 3rd in TTT and 2nd on stage 2 but then the kick in the pants with Coppel loosing time.
Bikex did Coppel crash or is he just crap?
Please don't tell me the pace set by Dumoulin & Hepburn blew him out the back, great teamwork if that happened .
Anyway the gaps for the favourites after stage 2 are
Tejay Van Garderen | 0 | Rigoberto Urán | + 1'14 | Jurgen Van den Broeck | + 1'16 | Fabio Aru | + 1'18 | Thomas De Gendt | + 1'19 | Andrew Talansky | + 1'43 | Thibaut Pinot | + 1'46 | Jérôme Coppel | + 2'27 | Adam Yates | + 5'34 |

Of course we were always going to lose a bit of time in the TTT. We're mainly looking forward to the ITTs obviously, where Talansky doesn't have a crappy team around him
Hopefully we can also join a break or two.
