It's stupid to believe anyway.
Who will know the universe and the world better? An ancient race or we with all our technology and scientific wisdom.
Of course, they would know the end of the world was to be now, what do we know about it? .....
On the other hand, we're more likely to destroy the world ourselves, but that's another business
And who says this apocalypse is about anything else than we destroying the earth slowly? To be clear, i dont believe the world is going to end in december, but saying that we have much better knowledge is rather limited view.
And to your question, i am sute Mayas knew the astrology and nature better than we now. You can laugh at that, but that is just my oppinion. If we knew it better, we would not be destroying it with our actions so much.
My point is that in our time we are informed about who is the best cyclist, who won 63rd series of X-factor, who farted right on the other side of the globe, but we know shit about how to live in connection/cooperation with nature around us, or maybe we know, but intentionally act otherwise.
Not too sure where to put this, but while Armstrong's case is in the news in France, AFLD has lost its case against FNASS (national corporation of sportsmen and associations - something like that, that I'd never hear of before). AFLD was forced to remove a handful of rugby and handball players from its target panel, because the localisation system has been considered illegal in regard of individuals rights.
The sportsmen in question had been added without their consent.
What if I am a pro cyclist but decide it's against my good will to be targetted ? Is it ok to dope out of competition then ?
