Ouch. That was simply said disastrous from Galta. GC race over, I fear. Would be very cool if he uses the opportunity to go stage hunting. Stage 6 looks perfect for that, and hopefully he can be given the green light to try for breakaways now.
Well done to Godoy on the stage win. Congratulations, SN! |

Highly disappointing that we didn't send one of our climbers into the break on stage 3. Just bad tactics. Ndayisenga did alright for the stage, but we need a bit more than just low-end Top 30 GC points ...

Crazy pace for these flat stages!
And congratulations to Scorchio and bbl on the wins. Kragh clearly belongs to PT races!
Stage 6 is already the next stage, which I can appreciate. Fingers crossed Galta comes out and tries something. Basically anything will do!
Thank you for all the reports so far, LLS! |

Can't be unhappy about the team's performance so far. Hayakawa performing well in the last two stages and Garby in KOTM has been much needed as we fight for survival
Thanks for the super fast reports btw LLS, the speed + quality of report is really impressive! |

Great podium for Habtom in stage 4, bad choice of wheel in stage 5. Maybe he kept the best for last - if he stays inside the time limit, that is.
Now, up to Masnada to get something out of this race, Habtom definitely delivered so far!
Congrats to the stage winners, and thanks for the reports - pace is great, so the season's over very soon

Silly me thinking Benoot can actually ride for the GC here.
On the upside, Van der Kooij seems to be not only a great lead-out man, but a good sprinter of his own as well.

AKA is the only rider I have that cares how I feel.
Really not much more to say about this guy. From start to finish, he has dazzled this year. He went a bit early in the messy sprint on stage 4, so he comes back with perfect timing on stage 5. He really thrives in the better competition for some reason, and I'm obviously thrilled to see it.
That was about the most characteristic, ballsy diesel sprint I've ever seen too. He literally lost the wheel entirely when the sprint launched due to his lack of acceleration, and just powered back to the front anyway. Love it.
With Guldhammer catastrophically blowing our top 5 goal, AKA is at least doing his best to keep us in the PCT top 15 now. 1/5 goals is better than 0/5.

Two quiet stages for us staying out of trouble and keeping everyone safe. That's all I could ask for. The next two stages are probably season-defining. No pressure guys
Thanks for the excellent pace and reports LLS and congrats to the winners!

We seemingly survived the two flat stages without a problem. Let's see if Alarcon has anything left in the tank
Congrats to the stage winners

Thanks, PCM20. That makes a lot of sense. 162nd.
No clue who hacked LLS' PC, but that guy did a great job of sabotaging us during the past month.

Unfortunately I think he had a puncture at a really bad time but I didn’t notice. Saw a group of riders had dropped behind and it was 5 of your team, including him

He just has to win tomorrow's stage, and then it's all forgotten
Obviously, we're only talking about 15-20 GC points that we lost here, but with how close the PCT is, that could well be decisive.
On a positive note, loanee Van Poucke with an amazing performance to finish 8th today! C&P that tomorrow, and we might actually still get a GC Top50...
Congrats to Kraftwerk btw, the later into the season, the stronger those guys are!

Thank you for the report, LLS!
Had hoped for better from Galta on that stage, as it looked to be the clearest mountain stage in this race, due to the mountain top finish. It has been a very mediocre season from him, which makes this performance also expected.
Well done to Lopez on defending and even extending the GC lead. And congratulations to Kraftwerk. They're having all sorts of momentum now, after the ToA |

Weird but cool seeing our guys form a train on stage 4. Nice to see Van der Sande podiuming there.
Elsewhere it's obviously tougher but Min continues to push for a top 10 - 15. Thanks for all the reports LLS

Very strong stage by the whole Evonik team. Always a great sign when you have multiple guys still left to chase down crucial GC attacks. Lopez finished nicely even when he shows glimpses of weakness in the end. The rest of the results are very promising though. Lopez surely got promoted from a contender to the top favourite for the overall victory with this stage.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Something must be wrong, 80/79 MO riders (top 10/15 contenders) simply can´t act like this. It´s just beyond my imagination.

Yikes. And I thought Guldhammer was bad. I'm not even sure how that is possible in the game engine.

Very pleased with Mamykin's ride, too bad he couldn't finish it, better luck next time!

Alarcon losing time was bound to happen. Still a bit disappointing to see it though
I can't see the next stage going any better so he'll probably lose a few more places. It's still gonna be a good race, just not quite good enough if we wanted to keep flirting with promotion I guess.
I'm super happy for Philips though, the fight isn't over!
