Love to see these attacks and climbing to 2nd in KoM is an immediate success.
Congrats cio!

3-4 of my riders working until the last climb was promising...then though it was hugely disappointed to lose time on riders such as Roglic, Pinot, Bongiorno, who should have been weaker than Olivier...
Missed opportunity clearly when doing all that work.
Good team effort with 5 riders in the top40 but the Olivier attack missed then. The idea to take profit from the hillier stages here in the early days didn`t really work out yet.
Congrats cio. Well done on the 2nd win on hard terrain. |

Great work by Bardet and Inkelaar so far. First stage on the attack and we did really well, you love to see it!

And so the Tour Can hopefully begin for us of we are ever going to score a high enough amount of points to get a realistic shot at 3rd in the PT…

Curious to see what happens in the mountains. Really hope we try to be aggressive and join the break with numbers om the next stage already.

So far not really enough from Mohoric, but Roglic doing very well so far and the first of the strong climbers in the GC currently. With a little bit of luck he could try for the yellow jersey for some days. Smith seems to be used mostly as domestique. I guess he won't be in a position to try and repeat last year's performances. |

Disappointing to see Yates lose time on a hilly stage, seeing as the whole point of sending him here was to gain time on those very stages
But then Kamberaj rides to the rescue once again! I never expected him to be a GT stage winner when I signed him - truth be told he was intended as part of a leadout train, and to fight for PT/PTHC stage podiums in weaker fields. I don't think that he can really compete for the Green jersey here, as the remaining stages favour Demare and the GC contenders, but what a Tour from him so far. |

Awesome race for my man Xhuliano. Tomorrow is a crucial day for Bardet. If he can get in the break and receive some good points there he might keep it for a longer time. Let's go Romain!

Groenewegen really should have followed those 2 when being in a perfect position to do so.
Probably the climber train wasn`t fast enough for him to immediately do so. 3rd is still at least something.
In total a bit less maybe than expected after stage 1 as Groenewegen wasn`t as dominant as hoped and obviously the GC time loss did hurt but at least they reduced it again by pacing and dropping some others here and there. |

Frustrating couple of days losing yellow and Bennett conceding early GC time and no stage results to compensate. Excited to see if GB can outdo his Vuelta self when the real games begin
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Strong first week, Pluchkin doing what he needs towards a podium GC.
Ackermann surprisingly good in sprints too, great to see!

Funny how we were in all the breaks early in the race, but now it seems like we're just sitting back. A perfect day for the break today, and a chance to score big, but unfortunately we didn't really gave it a try. Hopefully the DS will have a little chat with the boys after the stage.
Congrats on the win, Croatia!

Not a great race for us so far, but this latest stuff from Rodriguez and Tolhoek gives me hope for the rest of the race.

Hell yes what a performance by Romain! Perfect execution, fantastic race. Hes been completely anonymous all year when I thought I made a bad signing with him but in one race day he turns everything around. Stellar!

Such a sick day for Isostar. Congrats!
Bad day for Evonik. Sending just Crncevic into the break was a big mistake when we were in such a good KoM position with Williams and losing time with Chiarello to some of those break riders could be a bit of a pain in the ass. Ah well, lets wait and see.

Man my teams' tactics suck. If the break hadn't made it Roglic would be in yellow. If my team wouldn't control the peloton they could've at least sent one of the three very suitable riders that I have for these occasions into the break and not Mohoric and Sirironnachai.
Congrats Croatia! |

Will be interesting to see if Festina will take control tomorrow in the peloton, if not it could become an unusual second week this Tour.
