Buchmann fifth is pretty remarkable compared to his usual time trialing. He keeps impressing this year, I'm very excited for what he can do at the Tour. If his prep is well-timed, he should well be able to improve his 15th from two years ago.

Too bad for the dawg, hope he recovers well and has no lasting injuries but I won't miss him ever. Any race without him and the Ineos domination is just that much better. But the problem is that Ineos still has the rider who dominated last years Tour. And if Thomas is on similar strength with Bernal as teammate still the same Ineos walkover will happen.
Also, I think Froome is exciting when he is not leading a race. Solaison '17, Jafferau '18 the biggest examples.
And yes, Thomas is extremely crash prone, but Froome was very crash prone a few years ago. He still managed to win 6 GTs.
Anyway, I hope Thomas is off form and we have an extremely open Tour like '06. _O_

TT to bunch sprint win is some doing...plus he was staying with some of the best up one of the extended climbs the other day, which at 80kg is phenomenal. He won't win tomorrow...maybe

Honestly I am a bit surprised why Froome should get it. i thought the precedent with Armstrong is pretty clear on that front: They caught you later, they are going to erase all memory off you like the Romans and no one takes your top step. I swear they are just making this up as they go along.

But I am talking about deleting winners way down the line. Other issues are within a few months/years..Armstrong and Cobo go way down the line.

I remember Menchov got disqualified in the 2010 Tour, not sure what happened with the result? Proven doper Samu on 2nd sure is much better lol
