Stage win is ok but not good enough in reality... What a waste this race has turned out to be

Why had to win the breakaway today...
Unbelievable performance so far for Gilbert Second in GC at the moment, just 10 seconds behind Vd Hugenhaben and he might have already done enough to secure a top10 finish.
Probably one of my best days ever in MG
Thanks for the reports tsmoha!

Disappointing stage tbh. Wyss holding forte on his own despite what should be good support. When it's a bad day it 's a bad day everywhere! Still only a minute back in the GC so nothing's lost yet.
Congrats on the win Ivan
Thanks for the report!

Good to see Vichot attacking along with Roux, first of all. And secondly, good to see him make up some time and get back into the top 10 of the GC. Hopefully he can keep that going over the next few stages and make his way onto a podium, but some of the other riders' steadiness might hinder that (Monfort, Gilbert).
We're a bit peeved at our domestiques' inabilities to stay in the conversation for anything other than the most basic GC points. Gradek and Hollenstein had the profile to do well in this race with the combined TT and hill power. However, it looks like Vichot will again be picking up their slack.
Congrats to Ivan on Pana's victory and thanks for the reports!

... and we are back to reality
Nice try by Gilbert on very long range, but it's was plain stupid sitting on 2nd in GC and knowing that VD Hugenhaben is so strong. It was better to try to secure a podium/top5, as he should have been in Chaves' group. Still he's 8th in GC, a place we would have settled before race, so overall not a bad race so far, just a little disappointed because of the big opportunity lost. And Goldcorp, Reddit and Azteca having a rider in 2nd, 4th and 5th doesn't help either for our promotion attempt. Gilbert could still try to overtake Taborre for 7th, but the remaining stages doesn't give a lot of chances to a big shake in GC
Now with the positive things about the stage: Cunego looking to secure some minor points with a decent showing today. And the star of the day, Cristian Rodriguez. It's always great to have a rider in the BotD, and even better to see him really strong to climb to 4th in KoM and 6th in U25, while also being part of Gilbert's early attack and then staying with him until the end of the day. Unless he goes again in S6 or S7 breakaway, he's unlikely to remain in the point-scoring places in KoM and U25, but still a great performance in a stage that suited his strenghts, and he has clearly used his already good stamina for a lvl1 rider in this long stage.
Thanks for the great report tsmoha!

Great riding from Wyss to move up the standings again. I wish the others in the team support him just a little.
In-n-Out seem to be running away with this one! Thanks for the report tsmoha

Another okay stage by us. Top 5 should be possible. Looking forward to tomorrow's big stage! |

Tough stage but again we're attacking and do the fact that Roux still had the energy to move up to second on GC is promising - just hope one of those attacks stick soon! Dammit Hug looked good though, Pellaud also with a freaky day, good for Goldcorp!

Team strategy is a messy chaos sigh.
The best thing about this stage was the report, as always great.

Well this race just became much more interesting. While doubtful that Pellaud can take the leaders maillot him going into second place in the GC is honestly fantastic and I have been waiting for this kind of performance from him all season long! Great reports as always!

Super happy with the way Rvh is riding, and super happy with Reus too despite him falling in the GC a little during the last few stages.
Great reports as always |

Sad to see Pellaud fall. It was fun to see another name as a top GC contender for once.
Weak day for Reddit, but with Roux not doing much top 3 is possible - it's all about the next stage! And grats maxime for the seemingly secure win now |

This is proving quite an exciting race, although vHug has the win sealed up (as he should with his stats!). R-G riding consistently for WCC without anything special, but slowly being climbing GC from lower to upper top 20. Visconti, Thomson and Koshevoy have been swapping decent days in the hills, so nowhere really in GC, but one in and about the main front group each day to support R-G. Particualrly looking forward to the final flat stage to see whether WCC can impose another sprint for JAC by managing (the notorious last stage) BotD, and lead-out a la stage 2.

Oh I have had it with these stupid bloody crashes to my leaders in every single stage race I'm a part of. I'm starting to quite selfishly want a 0% ratio. Roux is an absolute hero for that effort to get back though, imagine he could have held onto Hug at the least if he didn't crash.
My sources tell me a certain team starting with R and ending with epsol-Honda are to blame
Also, your censoring is a bit inconsistent
