We've seen so many laughably not given gaps, today you have to ask how the fuck that was a gap between Viennet and Brändle (not asking the question how Viennet is better than Brändle on a course like this anyway). Great performance by our full team to bring Brändle in the perfect position. Great that he fucked up that perfect position big time...
Ignatiev can't loose this now, and with the very lucky season they're having Steensen should become second easily. Afterwards it's Viennet & Cornu third and fourth, and then we could find a nice result with either Navardauskas or Brändle tor each our goal here.
Feel bad for Fraile, what has happened there? :/

The first thing that struck me about this stage was that Appo was in the first group way longer than he ought to be, which is extremely confusing given his inability to sprint after his crash the last tow days. Of course, one of those things is his job, and it's not the hills.
Regardless, Steensen with a great performance. Glad the team AI put him in that position instead of going for Veilleux. I definitely wasn't expecting such a ride, but this means that hopefully, he has a chance at a podium in the GC. I won't get ahead of ourselves though, a top 5 or 10 would be good too. He just needs to score now.
Thanks for the report!

It's a good thing that Ford got dropped yesterday, otherwise this would've been disappointing

Surely he had a crash or puncture, right? There is no way he loses that much time on his own merit. Really disappointing.
Small consolation to have Abreu still fighting for probably his best GC finish ever.

I might indeed have missed a crash, just noticed him being far behind with the first major splits occuring. Sorry for the lack of infos on this.

Not sure how Hatanaka got dropped there but Uchima managed to finish ahead of him, but oh well. Clearly Kuboki is our only hope for the GC.

Seems like the unexpected stage wins just keep coming. What a finish from Mareczko!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Good effort by Søren on home soil. Looked very strong in the end, but a very good result still!
Pity that Olsson got dropped in the peloton, probably ends his hope for a top 50.

I was catching up with the reports after a busy week got to stage 3 and realised I have a team in the race
Pollitt grabbing a cheeky KOM to remind their manager the team are really here!
Pleased to see Mohs get a win.
Super reports as always tsmoha.

Ah the typical random Lierse win in a stage race
Can we just finish the race now please? Martin Laas in 12th is too good to be true <3 Brändle still only our 5th best rider in the GC, which tells a lot about his pathetic performance on stage 3 when the team shined bright.

What a horrible, horrible, horrible race for Compal.
Jesse Sergent sits best in the GC with his 57th. We're ending rock bottom if it continues like this.
Thanks for the reports! |

It's rare to see one of the first riders to start a TT to win it, but Ford is one of those riders you can never know what they'll do, so it's fitting
Amazing races for Ferrero and Carlsberg. At the end Ignatiev's big wage is going to be fully deserved with 2 GC wins already, while Steensen keeps performing way better than his level, joining Jull Maar and Appo in "Carlsberg lethal trio to avoid promotion"
Also Isostar with a great depth, with 2 Top7 and 2 further Top20.
At the end this race sums perfectly what has been PCT season so far; Ferrero with a stellar performance, Orange being everywhere, Carlsberg over-performing massively, Isostar with huge depth and probably his manager whining for a better result of Brandle/Navardauskas in the TT , the random Lierse win in a stage race...
And great reports tsmoha!

Kind of nice to see Ford winning after all his struggles earlier in the race. Ignatiev is on fire though lately. Winning both here and in Olympia, good to see such a good rider get the results he should be getting. And we are perhaps seeing the start of the rescue mission to get promotion for Orange. Stellar race for them at least.
A good race for us in the end. Atkins with a good TT here, after a 4th and 3rd place on the last two stages for us. Watson held on very good, and was lucky enough to take the youth jersey on stage placings just as he did in Pais Vasco. Brilliant. Thanks for all the reports, tsmoha!

Another horrific race for us. A sprinter that can't sprint and a top TT'er that can't be bothered.
With this result relegation seems more or less certain - this was one of those races where we HAD to perform and everyone failed to do so

I think every single notable rider of us had a worse time trial than expected...still our GC looks okay given the time we won before! Laas, Jans and Quevedo standing our with unexpected GC points
Congrats on the well deserved win!

Great to see Ford getting a win.
Ignatiev adds his name at last to the list of winners in this race, with Viennet finally delivering for Orange, almost in a big way.
Has been fun to see Cisse on his lateral loan to Orange, and that contiued here too. A surprising 22nd overall, and supporting Kennaugh to the points jersey. He may be maxed already, but these are great racing experiences to bring back to the team next year.

Quite ok with that result from Yates, made for an exciting U25 competition finish and gives us a few more points than i was expecting from GC.
Could have had slightly better stage results but we picked up consistently through the race and were active.
Not bad at all.
