Outstanding PCT squad and I think you have very good chances of going up again.

The one transfers I wouldn't have bid crazy amounts for Meintjes...
Your team looks very strong, even if it doesn't have the TTT depth of years gone by that's still a great asset for your team and the absolute dominance has been replaced by some solid domestiques in other areas! And obviously some great leaders including Carthy who should be a perfect regional hero for your team for years to come!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

End of Transfers - A daunting year ahead! After two weeks of double dealing and losing our collective minds, the transfer season for the 2022 season is now over and cycleYorkshire can announce the team that will attempt to stay up at the highest level of Pro Cycling at the second try.
We brought in 10 new faces in the end, with 3 being loans for the year ahead looking to gain experience at the Pro Tour level. There were a few outgoings as well, some more cherished riders than others which we will also cover, we hope they go on and continue successful careers at their respective teams.
Lachlan Morton
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | | Lachlan Morton | 70 | 84 | 76 | 73 | 79 | 78 | 78 | 54 | 57 | 67 | 68 | 68 | 73 | 80.29 | 4.100 | 30 |
Lachlan will be our premier Grand Tour rider heading into the 2022 season. He has riden for the Australian team Amaysim-Cervélo for what could be most of his career, and challenged for the Giro in the last calendar year - although not coming particularly close, finishing 4th some way behind eventual winner Silvio Herklotz. In truth we hope he will podium the only GT he will ride this year and do well in the other stage races he rides. He scored 860 points last year (34th best rider) and in truth we aim for him to get closer to the 1000pt mark for us to achieve our goals. Considering we only had Louis Meintjes (God amongst men he may be) the last time we were in the Pro Tour, Morton will compliment Carthy very well and we hope to be competitive in almost all GTs this year. Danny Summerhill
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | | Danny Summerhill | 77 | 65 | 72 | 58 | 75 | 71 | 67 | 82 | 69 | 72 | 80 | 72 | 58 | 78.9 | 4.100 | 33 |
Summerhill joins as our main free agent signing of the year and it seems we are intent on recreating the Amaysim-Cervélo team of old! The American is no stranger to success at the highest level and will compete amongst the world's best for another year despite having declined in ability slightly. He had a decent showing of things last year, animating the famed Paris-Roubaix race to finish 6th and finish 8th in the Ronde van Vlaanderen. He was our main target of free agency and we secured our man for a pricely 600,000 wage (not our most expensive buy of free agency ever!), which we feel is a good deal for us. Hopefully he follows on from last year with potentially his last hurrah at the elite of the sport!
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | | Connor Swift | 75 | 66 | 73 | 69 | 75 | 77 | 72 | 73 | 69 | 72 | 75 | 68 | 71 | 74.27 | 4.100 | 27 | | Vincenzo Albanese | 71 | 69 | 73 | 59 | 72 | 75 | 70 | 62 | 71 | 75 | 76 | 71 | 60 | 73.94 | 4.100 | 26 | | Adel Barbari | 71 | 62 | 63 | 68 | 70 | 69 | 78 | 58 | 76 | 79 | 76 | 62 | 70 | 73.55 | 4.100 | 29 | | Goran Antonijevic | 78 | 61 | 66 | 68 | 67 | 74 | 65 | 68 | 71 | 74 | 80 | 72 | 68 | 71.52 | 4.100 | 28 |
These 4 represent the rest of our free agency dealings. They are not the most flashy but we believe that they will offer us good support when needed, particularly Connor Swift but as we said all have their part to play.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | | Thomas Pidcock | 73 | 73 | 74 | 70 | 72 | 75 | 70 | 72 | 72 | 78 | 70 | 81 | 70 | 75.66 | 3.31 | 23 | | Frederik Rodenberg | 72 | 60 | 63 | 64 | 69 | 75 | 72 | 59 | 77 | 77 | 63 | 64 | 72 | 73.47 | 4.13 | 24 | | Michael O'Loughlin | 71 | 65 | 67 | 75 | 68 | 72 | 67 | 62 | 63 | 64 | 68 | 65 | 73 | 70.83 | 4.0 | 25 |
Wow just wow! While we did not buy Tom Pidcock when he first came on the market, and probably never will own him permanently because of that we are extremely happy to announce he will ride in our colours this year after joining on loan from Xero Racing. He is an asset to the team being extremely well rounded despite being so young and we look for him to attack all the races he will ride and have success in our jersey.
The other two, are not quite on that level right now but we feel that they are both very good acquistitions. Rodenberg will shadow Cullaigh as his main leadout man while O'Loughlin will bolster our admittedly weakened TTT lineup. They join from Tryg - Gobik and Glanbia respectively.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | | Joel Suter | 74 | 63 | 69 | 67 | 72 | 71 | 68 | 67 | 66 | 70 | 71 | 70 | 67 | 70.69 | 3.90 | 24 |
He may look like a misfit but the Swiss rider will be someone who we will be putting our love and attention into for the coming two years. He joins permanently from Carlsberg - Danske Bank for a cheap deal of 50k. He should develop into an aggressive rider for the future who hopefully deliver some much needed sponsor coverage for the future.

Well, I relegated with a pretty similar setup last year, but I do hope that both Morton and Danny will bounce back from rather disappointing performances last season!
CycleYorkshire always had a piece in my heart for several reasons, particularly since we had the same TTT focus back in time. Wish you all the best to stay up!

Strong offseason with some good signings, you should be much stronger than in your previous PT attempts. I think the Morton - Carthy combination could either be golden, or - if they not perform - the source of frustration. I like your chances though!

Rather unsurprisingly, we have yet again been not active on our own HQ page - but long story short, this likely won't change!
On a more serious note, the team that we brought to the PT in 2022 was more than enough to survive relegation - finishing in 15th place in the end. Morton proved to meet expectations in his limited race days over the year even finishing on the podium in the Tour de France and giving us our first Grand Tour podium. Summerhill also delivered in what could possibly be his last year at the top of the sport, winning in Rheden and finishing 2nd in the Ronde. We thank him for his efforts last season but in the end after another decline, we could not agree on a new deal and he leaves the team to test the Free Agency. We wish him well.
Moving on to the 2023 season, we announce our provisional team of 17 riders for the new year; the above mentioned Summerhill along with Hennessy and Viviani couldn't secure new deals for the year ahead.
Here is the team

Overall, no one truly has a hands off designation - for the right offer I'm sure almost everyone on the roster could go. Obviously, Morton would require an unbelievable offer but as I say never say never.
In terms of actively selling someone the most likely names would be Carthy or Fraile both of whom are still great riders - Carthy being a rider I'd like to keep given his nationality and possibility of training this year.
With 900k free wage space and obvious leadership absences on the cobbles and hills, feel free to get in touch, I'm sure I'll be happy to help!

Another year, another transfer availability post! This transfer season could either be a rather quiet one for the Yorkshire outfit or maybe a complete overhaul is ahead of us. The post itself suggests we are probably looking at offloading some of our aging/more unappreciated helpers but looks may be deceiving. For one, our two primary leaders are on the verge of decline so it may be beneficial for us to sell one especially if there is a good trade on offer. Whether this comes about is another question altogether but it won't necessarily be a dead end if you inquire about either one of Morton or Yates. Other riders like Carthy, Cullaigh and Romo look set to stay but feel free to put an absurd offer on the table!

Please someone in the PCT go nuts for Yates, don't want any Yates in my division ever with how much they beat Xero riders into 2nd place on stages

Don't follow jandal, PCT isn't that eager for another Yates (and with Demare still around too)!

Since we like to bring back our lost sons home, maybe it's time for Akhmaevi to move back East
