Looking at the betting for the ITT surely Cancellara is a cracking bet at 18.00 to take the title i'd think he'd have more chance then say a Spilak at 5.00
Honestly he's been hot garbage all season so I wouldn't count on him, but I made sure the odds would be tempting

So damn close for Potts, a real shame not to see him win. So close...

Oumaru's big chance to win something, I guess 6th was pretty good

That's obviously a great opener into the worlds Of course this was a race to lose for Saber, so I'm glad he delivered like a top-favorite has to. When he launched his move, I somehow felt confident. Even though he easily could have waited for a sprint decision. Great stuff. Another rainbow shirt for Oz then. And another gold medal after Haig last year and Goss the year before.
Thanks for the quality report, the_hoyle!

Well that was quite a different race, although a relatively 'big' name winner in the end, delivering on favourite status, still lots of unsung riders featuring strongly. Congrats to tsmoha who gets what should be a neat new jersey for 2017 season.
For WCC, had hoped that Bolivar might have been around the top 20, but a season too early in his development it would appear for that. A good showing from Mraouni in 21st after forming part of the hard working group of Moroccans supporting Saber's victory. Not too shabby for a level 1 rider!

Amazing race and exciting read from a neutral perspective, thanks the hoyle.
Was cheering Bakari the whole race, disappointed that he didn't win Of course in this sort of race you can be happy with any winner given all the contenders where riders who don't often get a chance. And of course gratz on Saber getting the win tsmoha and to anybody else with riders in the winning team.

Cracking race, plenty of action and a deserving winner. Now we just need all the other events to be as good

Great race and backed up with a fantastic report! None of the Venezuelans even finished and disappointing for Bakari to not win Can't wait for the other road races after seeing that

Great report, great race and great showing by my Finnish boys. Kulppi in 8th is very nice bringing some promise before his first maxed season next year.

Great race and report! Thank you, the_hoyle
Also big congratulations to tsmoha with the top favourite duly delivering. Roman can only cross fingers the same happens in the final RR, a race which will hopefully be full of action, eve more than in the B WC. |

Whoo, Silver for Potts! Silver for Strava uhm.. I mean Ireland! Quite a nice race for the Strava boys. Unfortunately Van Wyk was dropped from the finale, probably lacking the stamina there. Good race from my boy Marzuki too.
Gratz to tsmoha and thanks to the hoyle for a thrilling detailed report.

Cheers guys for the thank yous (what has happened to the thumbs up and ticks?)!
Great race to report and run. The cobbles caused far more destruction than I expected so I can't wait for the World A race.
Saber was a deserving champion after his attack and he looked to have everything in control all stage. Hard to stay calm when Gabon had so many riders at the front and I was cheering on Ngamdamba throughout the whole thing

Good race for Marzuki there, just a shame my riders couldn't really be much support for him.
I'm interested in seeing how he is maxed out as he's one of the more interesting Malaysians not on our squad and depending on how Shonak takes his development he could end up being a decent point scorer in CT or a good all around Domestique at a higher level.

Kamberaj in the Top25, great job - why no U23 worlds for him?
Bakari shows his value - CT shouldn't be stronger than this race mostly, so will he finally be able to race CT cobbles next season?
to the race: the big favourite won, no surprise...great Top 5 for Evonik though!

Was not expecting Kuroeda to be one of the favourites in this race, it actually seems like he underperformed here, but overall an exciting race and an 11th in the end which is fairly respectable.

Congrats tsmoha! Was quite a fun race to follow.
Was hoping Kruopis would do a little better though.
