Great effort from Juul-Jensen. Good to have Wisniowski, Trentin (and Meyer) in the first split as well, sets it up nicely for the coming stages.

Good stage again, and nice to see the peloton splitting up. A shame that Wisniowski couldn't follow in the end, as I fear Trentin will lose way too much in the TT. Great to see him on the podium though.
Good result by Juul-Jensen too, so looks good for three riders high up in the GC. Congrats to knockout on the win!

What the fuck.
trek, can you explain? Did they wait for Kelderman?
Kelderman bossing the TT and then taking the stage win and 5+ minutes on most riders ahead of him is the only way to halfway salvage this race. Feels like the riders don't want the team to finish Top 10 overall. *insert numerous swear words*

Cio is definately not going to like this! Sad to see Blythe fuck it up that bad really. Also sad to see GVA being held back by no gaps, but he is still scoring a lot of points for his team, and has a good shot at winning the race.
It was a very strong stage for Tom David here, but it was definately needed aswell, seeing Coppel just letting go completely. He will have to win the TT and ride a superior hilly stage for Tom David in ordet to not be a complete waste of racedays here. My team fell apart from the gunshot, which makes it even more impressive what Tom David did. He did reasonably well last season in the TT, so we can hope for something similar again. He will drop out of the top 10 surely, but can hopefully do well enough, to make it possible to jump back in the hilly stage.
Ups and downs for us here, but We anticipated that, which is why we brought the team we did.

Arg. Where the three first stages where great for Kristoff GC wise, this one was a huge disappointment. Seeing how it was raced, there was no reason for Kristoff not be in the front group when the final big selection happened. And judging by his sprint, gapping his group by 30 seconds, I assume, it's even more annoying to see him not be able to fight for the top placings on the stage.
Thank you for the report, trekbmc. Definitely an interesting and exciting one!
Also congratulations to knockout!. At this rate, Evonik could even fly to a PT podium considering the rankings, I think. |

I'll admit that I didn't actually notice that Blythe had waited for Kelderman, thought he was just doing terribly like a couple other cobblists, but it turns out that PCM AI must have stuffed up again at your expense and favoured Kelderman despite him losing a lot of time anyway. It was a bit of a terrible stage for the AI in terms of handling leaders for other terrains, although at least other teams kept their cobblists in the mix, but it's really bad luck for your team.

I give up on this race...Boom should have done better...no way He will get a top 5 here any longer. Even top 10 is highly difficult... |

Thank you very much.
Oh well, at least that saves some budget in renewals. And there won't be any confusion about who to support for the rest of the race.

Winning the stage is cool but I'm so annnoyed about having yet another important time gap not given that i cannot even enjoy the victory right now as I see the winning goal slippping away
Kluge sits in a great position. As a strong TTer amongst the cobblers he sits in a great position and is arguably the favourite to win the race now. (Leader jersey should help him defending the expected gap on the hill stage)
A bit awkward to see two guys (burghardt, trentin) in the top five who should have been two minutes behind due to stage 2.
Awesome to see Bagdonas still very high in the GC. Being a good TTer and having AI advages of having to help for GVA might help him into a great position as well.
@ember: As much as I like the sound of it this has been the story of this season all year long. Fantastic highs in one race, close to 0-pointers in the next race. Not surprisingly, I might add as i could not expect to score much more in the neglected races with my squad building strategy. And while ToNE could/should be a great score the previous race was Colombia where I only got mentioned when Dzamastagic claimed a 8th place stage result before disbanding and the next two PT races will be Liechtenstein and TTT event which wont be any better so we will once again slide quite a bit after those events.

But it would be nice to actually win one of the four win goals. Already failed the TDF one so closely

Atleast you have won races. Despite being the clear leader of the PT atm, I could have picked any race of the season as a Win goal and still miss it, as we still haven't won a single race

ftfy
I've also only won one single race all season long which was the big surprise in Moscow. Aside of that I won some stages and tons of podiums in classics but no other race. That other bastard was always ahead of my guys

Nice to see Polnicky doing this well. Too bad my other cobblers were just around Howard.

Could have been an amazing day for Lamapert.
4 riders in the top 20, but I think that will change after the time - trial. Still, by the end of the race, Van der Velde or Sinkeldam should be in the top 10 with the other not too far behind. Hopefully Gerts will be in the top 20 as well.

I love the way my riders use the wildcard for once!
Especially Khalifas ride to KOM was great and could save him a new contract even...

Came here to hunt stages with Degenkolb/Mohs/Kluge combo and small hope for decent result in open TTT.
Instead, after winning of opener (amazing!), we still keep yellow after half of race. With ITT and flat stage coming, there is a great chance to keep the lead for 2 more days. Incredible Tenorio, watch and learn
knockout: indeed, Kluge is in a great position, but I doubt he´ll survive penultimate stage. However,if he´ll still ride in yellow there, I pray for as such calm racing as possible
