A pity that Van der Sanden didn`t care about a sprint stage. Not that he could have made it into points though.
I noticed that at times you used "team flag + Name" and sometimes "Name + Team Flag".
Did you manually copy&paste all the flags?
I put the team code next to the name as I was writing the report when racing it, then used find and replace once I was finished. I just simply wasn't paying attention to the ordering |

MY STRATEGY WORKED!! Insult for instant success, classic Trump.
That must've been one of the closer sprints I've seen in my times.
Feeling sorry for Turbo Durbo there, and Vesely got so close to an upset too while Maksimov winning would've made the earth implode, so I'm happy we prevented that.
This plus the Giro win is really important to give us a good start to the climbing part of the season where we're relying on these sorts of points.

Too close to feel good...
At least Durbridge tries. If you can't timetrial anymore, that is a solid strategy to win stages. Really unlucky ending though.

Ciolek has been saving his 1 stage win per year for today's stage?

Very nice to see us be active and join the breakaway. Fingers crossed that will continue.
Congratulations, cio93, suddenly winning everywhere! |

I'd say it's time to get back some time on Phinney (), but there will probably be no gaps and Phinney will actually finish in front of Bobby.

So:
- Kolar went down and retired
- Sagan went down and lost 5 minutes
- Velits had a puncture
- Vesely made a superb sprint for a suprising 2nd place
Interesting stage. Something really bad happened to my team, but something really good as well at the same stage. Hopefully Sagan is now in an attack mode and Velits my clear GC leader. Kolar could get a few points here, but Velits still has Vysna as his helper, so Kolar hopefully shouldn't be a big loss here.
Oh and congrats to Puma. Surely a great moment to see Ciolek winning a stage in PT.

Seriously though, what is happening in this race so far? Bookwalter was "Abal" to get 2nd in the prologue with Newton finishing with the same time as Abal (Somebody check Newt for roids #TheComebackReference).
Now Maksimov nearly wins a stage. This is a madness.

Me and everyone else
Good to see Ciolek take a win, shame for Durbo would've been cool for Maksimov to win tho
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Terrible race so far, we pretty much underperform (or standard at max) everywhere we go this year, excluding Giro so far. Ignatiev 15th in prologue and Grosu 12th in sprint stage, also Guardini crashing. At least Tanovitchii tried...and failed like Durbridge seconds later.
Congrats Cio and thanks jph27!

I feel Bennett should have been one group further up with 78/76 combination. In especially seeing Degand was still with him.
That said, Phinney could say this even more.
GC wise this will be more interesting now as Gesink probably has it but Phinney must attack the likes of Sicard/Trofimov now. |

My predictions seems to be spot on but I still expect a lot of mayhem the next couple of stages. Fantastic race/report and congratulations to CT!

Beautiful race so far, expect the rankings to get reshuffled in the next 3 stages though. Congrats CT!

Send no good riders, get no good results, I know the drill. Still, thanks for the reports jph.

Not really a good stage for us, working hard for Kelderman who then misses the obvious move of the day while having Arndt drop further out of GC competition.
My only hope is that the other hilly stage goes so well that Kelderman can hold onto a good position in the mountain stage.

Good effort by Koretzky to finally give us a little bit of points. The past 15 racedays or so have given us 15 points in total I think.
Yuriy Vasyliv was dropped, and lost a heavy amount of time unfortunately. It will be difficult for him to get that top 20 that I hoped he could do.

With every new PCM edition coming, the MG gameplay is worse and worse. Same riders in break every day at Giro, here GC riders or good puncheurs riders don´t care at all, while several sprinters almost survived until finish line. I´m getting tired of this shit.
Anyway, thanks for your effort jph27, good reports.

Lame AI, as beagle suggests. Anyway this time great job from Ignatiev to finish with some much better puncheurs and jumping into top10 in GC, which he will loose soon though...
Great job by Gesink, he should have it in the bag now, but it is Gesink, you know.
Phinney with a terrible stage. Thanks for the report!

Had hoped for more from Bobridge, but at least him and Morton were in that group there. Anyway, considering we had 81 TT, 82 SPR and 82 HI, tthose first stages didn't bring the needed points...
