The report was a good read, even if my team weren't in the race.
Is that a custom stage though? Strade Bianchi looks a lot different on my PCM14.

Well not the way I'd like to start our PCT race calendar. Great report though, and I loved the too much eye contact pic at the end

Great coverage of this special race, loved it. Nice selection too. Gratz to Puma for winning this one of a kind-race!
Some good showing by recently promoted teams, most of all Bank of Ireland. But also Evonik with a solid showing once more due to Sanchez, who continues to snatch them Top 10 points, as well as a great 10th place by Roy for Bonscuro.
This race is definitly one of the reasons why the goal is to promote to PCT asap.

Very cool and distinctive report Oleg. Happy with a 4th place to start Dowsett's season

It wasn't quite the normal stage.
It was based off https://pcmdaily.com/stagedb/stage.php...ge_id=1443, but I edited the file to remove all 1-spline narrow roads (and converted it to PCM14).

At the end no sprinter friendly race but the AI worked fine and the race was contested by all the top riders.
Thanks Oleg for this report. The GIFs and the images are state of art.
Congratulations Cio as well for the banana

Great to be in the break on such a beautiful stage. Roy completing the top 10 target but he was a ways behind the tops. So, mixed feelings there. I really hope his bad ACC isn't going to make him anonymous this season.
Great unique way of reporting it Oleg. |

Very cool report, only thing is that I'm not a huge fan of .PNG pictures due to slow Internet these days, but I'll certainly manage the loading time when the report is a pleasure to read
Brilliant win for Kelderman and cio93, congratulations! Must be a thrill to see a talent you've developed from the beginning reach this level, and then run away with one of the most prestigous classics on pro continental level.
McCarthy really is a fine rider as well, he looks set for a great season.
Impey being defeated in the sprint for 26th by Taborre is surprising, but I guess FroomeDog will managed with Kwiatkowski's strong showing, despite missing out on the win goal |

WILCOOOO YOU BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING
After 3 years of waiting and 885.000€ of combined wages spent on him, this is the moment to make everything worth it.
A perfect team work to keep everything in touch finished off by some great positioning going into the final ramp to just have enough energy left to pass a (still impressive!) McCarthy.
This is indeed one of the most awesome races on the calendar (even though the gravel roads have no influence, feeling slightly sorry for everyone who thought so and sent their cobblers), so it is even more special to have the first win in than a random Portuguese/Russian/whatever C1 race.
It's great to see we also got some minor placings for even more points out of this, we really need everything we can get to catch up to whoever's leading the division at the moment.
I hope we'll get a first rankings update after February as there are too many teams with good performances to have a clear overview without.
Thanks for the cool report Oleg (especially the gif!) and sorry for not being around to post a pre-race comment this time (although I guess I shouldn't jinx my luck by changing that now )

12th, 14th, 20th should net us a good haul of points (at least by our standards this year anyway) I'm surprised that Zardini was only our 5h best rider in 40th.
I'm really impressed by Forcellini, finishing 14th and winning a 12 man sprint is really good going for him and to do so in such a prestigious race is a big step forward for Sammarinese Cycling as it shows that it's not only Paolo Scarponi who can get results in the bigger races.

Hills. The less said about this terrain in general the better for us. We were never going to do well here but Ivanov was surprisingly good and high up compared to my expectations. Lloyd not so much unfortunately. A couple more seasons and this sort of race could be good for us, we just need to survive that long first...

Well that was a very nice ride by McCarthy, certainly a good way to start his career at BoI. Slightly disappointed he got beaten by Kelderman, but I guess Jesley needed the lift after losing Big Brother.
That makes it 2/2 goals, slightly surprising IMO for a new PCT team with ambitious-ish goals.
Really enjoyed the report style btw, nice job Oleg!
Oh and another thing: I'm in a busy period of exams at the moment, so I only really check Daily to see if a new stage is up. Activity has been pretty shameful on my side so far, will pick up once those are done though.

Thanks, I guess. Shouldn't you congratulate the winner instead though? ^^

Fantastic reporting style by OT - thanks!
Result not as one would have hoped for Nutresa though - Chaves our main man that should have had the best chance to race with the main contenders fell short today. Really nice job by Fonte though to secure 14th, and with Gavazzi also in 19th, at least we don't come away from Italy completely empty-handed. Fonte's first decent showing this season in PCT, hopefully along with the likes of Valencia doing a similar job in Gisborne race our domestiques can keep contributing to wracking up the points.
Across the piece, combined with the good result at Gisborne, the split strategy kinda worked, somewhere around 110 points across two one-dayers (so 4 RD's) is still a decent return; still would have liked to see Chaves at least try to follow the main contenders here though!
Nice to see Puma rewarded for the time invested in developing Kelderman - congrats.
