It was Deignan and Roche who fought out that stage, two other Irishman.

Might be a dumb question, but is Contador now in Beijing or not? |

He's not there. The UCI didn't change the no points-rule quickly enough.

Anoter good stage. Anton attacked with 5km to go, EBH then decided to counter and destroyed Anton and went solo with 4km go. He was sure of win but blew up in last hundered metres and lost out to Gavazzi and Martin.
1 Francesco Gavazzi (Ita) Astana Pro Team 4:05:07 | 2 Daniel Martin (Irl) Garmin - Sharp | 3 Edvald Boasson Hagen (Nor) Sky Procycling | 4 Rinaldo Nocentini (Ita) AG2R La Mondiale |

Well, Martin is pretty much guaranteed the overall now (I heard he didn't lose any time). Will be a quality win (if not really a true WT win) for him. |

Felt so sorry for Eddie Bos today, that line just wouldn't come quick enough for him |

Dan Martin was a beast to bring back EBH. Good job by Gavazzi sticking to it and winning the sprint.

Just watched the highlights. Fantastic move by Eddy Bos. So unlucky not to make it, that was a killer move. Great job by Gavazzi with the timing on his move, couldn't have been much more perfect. And holy shit was that Anton attack unimpressive. I mean, I know form can be way off this time of the year, and it wasn't really all that steep of a climb, but that was borderline pathetic. |

Andy Schleck last, almost 12 minutes behind second last rider, 17 minutes down behind the winner
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

But I have to give him my respect, for finishing the stage! Many riders would have quit!
