Good day to all.
I would like to ask what is the complete file name of An Post-Sean Kelly team's equipments, helmet and wheels. Also for Katusha's helmet.
I will greatly appreciate it.
like for ex. 2012_frame_1t4i.nif for Argos Shimano.
Katusha:
RR = 2012_helmet_katusha
TT = 2012_helmet_katusha_tt; 2012_helmet_katusha_tt_visor
For An Post - Sean Kelly, they don't have team specific equipment, they use auto-colored equipment (only WT and PCT teams have specific equipment). The equipment file names they use are:
Spoiler Road Race:
Frame = 2012_frame_dolan
Wheel = wheel_zipp_808
Helmet = 2012_helmet_garneau_quartz
Time Trial:
Frame = 2012_frame_pinarello_tt
Wheel = wheel_zipp_900 (rear wheel - front wheel is the same as RR)
Helmet = 2012_helmet_garneau_vorttice; 2012_helmet_garneau_vorttice_visor
The problem of them not using team-specific equipment is, in case you want to replace the Time Trial frame for example, other teams that were using the auto-colored TT frame of Pinarello would use the frame you replaced it for as well.
So the best way to do it would be: open the .cdb/your save with an editor, table STA_equipment. Find the equipment lines with name "DEFAULT 30" (they should be near the end). An Post - Sean Kelly is the only team to use equipment from the Default 30 lines; so you can change the filenames (gene_sz_nomenclature) without any problem, like they were team-specific lines. So, for example, you could change the TT frame's gene_sz_nomenclature column to "2012_frame_dolan_tt", and then name your files this way. Then SKT will use your files, and you won't 'mess up' the equipment from other teams
ps.: for all equipment of any type, there is 4 files: .nif, _d.dds, _n.dds and _s.dds.

Good day Luigi
I am now playing the NC races before Tour de France, but It seems that most of the Time Trial stages are not ITT instead a mass start and using the course of Plouay-Plouay.
I would like to ask how do I fix this? Do I need to tweak/edit my DB? or download some stage variants, then play to those variants next season?
It's just a bit annoying that a poor TT rider wins a TT mass start race.

You probably miss some CM_stage files.
Have you installed the DB in the exact correct folder? For example Saison 2012 is different from Season 2012. Double-check that

Yes, if you're seeing Plouay - Plouay you're missing the stage files. Which DB is it (normal one or NCs)?

I did installed the DB correctly. I'm having this problem on NC races only, I am using the PCMdaily DB for patch 1300.
I did scan my CM_Stages folder but I can only see one NC race for the country of Colombia for example, instead of two. How do I put these proper NC ITT stages? So that in the next season I can play a proper NC ITT stage.
Also how many parts/files does a single stage contains? Coz I can see a .zces and .cds file extensions. Does that make them a single file in game? or No?
Every help is very much appreciated

.zces and .cds are one stage only. But .cdx files (alone) are also one stage. (.cdx are for re-using other stages, which have their own .zces and .cds).
It's weird that only these files are missing. Well, here's the stage files of the NC-ITTs added by Daily's DB:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5...stages.rar
However even if you copy the above files to your CM_stages folder, you'll still keep seeing Plouay - Plouay in game. That's because, at the beginning of the career, since the game couldn't find the stage files, it assigned, in your save game, the "Stage0" files to them. So for them to work properly this year, you'd have two choices: either edit your save (STA_race and STA_stage) to change the chosen stages from "Stage0" to their normal filenames (natitt-col_2012, etc), or replace the "Stage0" files in CM_Stages by an ITT stage.

Thank you Luigi, now I understand what are these file extensions are. I did also try editing the STA_race and STA_stage and It was pretty easy, thank you once again, I can now race the NC ITT and Road race courses properly.
I have another question, Is it possible to use a one day classic race like L-B-L, Amstel, World Champ road race etc. as a NC race for a certain country?
Also is it possible to use a TT stage from Grand Tours as a NC ITT course?

Also a follow up question, I understand what variant stages are, but will my Database automatically choose the variants itself? or should I edit my DB(STA_race and STA_stage) so that I won't race the same stages each season?

The variants will change by themselves
Yes, it is possible to do that. Just copy the stage you want (e.g. "topclas_lbl_2012" or "top_tdf_09_2012" ) and rename them to be a variant of the NC (to know what they should be called, take a look here - don't hesitate to ask if you have any doubt ).

Wow! Many thanks to you luigi, your a big help.
The link you've posted is a bit confusing but I can get the hang of it. I have many variants of stage races from many sources so I don't have a problem with those, whereas I don't have many variants for NC races that's why I end up using other stages, and its good to know that I can use a one day classic race.
Are the rules the same in adding more races? Like for example a fantasy courses? New NC races? What part of the DB (STA_race and STA_stage) should I look for, It seems that most of them are identical.

Another follow up question, all of my variant races is in Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012\CM_Stages instead of Pro Cycling Manager 2012\Mod\Stages. Will it still work? No?

Well, for variants it's a bit confusing in the beginning but in the end it's not so complicated, it's just about renaming the stages to [gene_sz_filename*]_[whatever suffix you want]. For example, nat-usa_v3, or nat-usa_variant... the only thing that matters about the suffix is that, if you put a year (such as 2014), it means that the variant will for sure be used in 2014. If there's no variant set specifically for that year, a random one will be chosen.
* from table STA_race in the DB.
As for Mod/Stages, forgot to say - Mod/Stages never really got working, so yes, you should have your stages in PCM12/CM_Stages rather than Mod/Stages
Lastly, for adding races, take a look here:

Now I fully understand how stage variants works. Thanks a lot I will read and learn how to add various stages from your link.
I give you all the credits for making my PCM Career much more enjoyable.
I'll keep in touch with you, for more questions in the future

Hey Luigi another question.
When I enter the NOR NC race it only has 2 riders, both from my team. Where did I go wrong? I just took a stage race for this NC.

Hm, that's weird. Is it in career mode? Try taking a look in table DYN_team_race in your save. It contains the teams lined up for each race and their rosters. If there are no teams other than yours set for the Norwegian NC, try adding them manually and see if it works (to add other teams basically copy the line for your team in the race, then change ID to an unique one, and of course the team and riders IDs).

Yes, I'm playing a career mode.
This is also the first time I encountered this problem, but anyway I shall try your suggestion but first I'm going to do another option.
Since I also had another Career mode(MTN-Quebeka) w/ this DB, I'll just copy the rooster of this NC from my MTN career. If not, I'll have to do your option w/c is a bit of time consuming.
Also can I include riders who are free agents(doesn't have a team)?

Hey Luigi
Thanks! its working now. When I browse the DYN_team_race, the NOR NC road race is really empty but the ITT was not, so I just copy the rider id's who participated in the ITT.
Also I did try putting the free agent riders in the race, yes their names do exist but no appearance and when I click their names on the race, the game crashes. Well, It should be played w/ existing teams. I was just wondering if it is possible like IRL, even though a rider hasn't a team, he could still ride a National Championship race.
Thanks mate!

Well, I guess that it might be possible to create a (or some) teams, its sponsors, set contracts for the cyclists, add cyclists for the team and then have the team(s) race the NCs, and after the NCs delete them. But I guess that would be way too much work

Hehe. Yes I did thought of that before, indeed it will be time consuming considering that they'll only show up during NC races.
