Yeah.
Sky, please, for fuck's sake, don't turn one of the young riders I currently like the most into a guy I couldn't care less about for the second year in a row...

Euskaltel to potentially disband, if another sponsor isn't found

Hasn't that been rumoured like 10 times throughout history?

More or less every year recently, yes.
I reckon this time it's actually going to happen, though. In the past, they've at least had some good results through mainly Samu, but this year he has started declining big time and the top results have vanished with him.
Would obviously miss their jerseys in the peloton, but apart from that the team is done on top level, imo. Personally, I hope they beat the odds and find some small sponsor, then mode down to Pro Continental level. They have no place in the WT anymore, I think.
Regardless of what happens, I look forward to finding out what Antón and Nieve will do. Samu has already been linked to Movistar, but I haven't heard anything about the other two. Nieve in particular will be interesting, since he has looked better than ever in the Tour so far.

Clément Venturini ---> Cofidis
Louis Verhelst ---> Cofidis
Both starting in 2014.

Quentin Jauregui ---> Team Argos - Shimano (stagiaire)
Interesting to see two French cyclo-cross riders (Venturini being the other one) going to a road team. Does this mean they'll switch to the road completely?

Unsure, but Jauregi was already part of the French U23 (road) team at the WC last year.
I remember a footage of him switching bikes, ahead of his staff. You barely notice what happens when you view it for the first time : the staff stands there, holding a bike, the peloton passes, the staff still stands there with another bike. Amazing.

It's Jacky Durand speaking in the background, btw.
Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing what Le Gac will achieve at the pros. Huge prospect. |

I hope he is getting paid less. Probably one of the most overpaid riders at the moment.

I really don't understand BMC, or Gilbert for that matter.
They have all but confirmed that Sagan is joining after 2014. Gilbert has been light years from his former self and is pissed off because he doesn't get to ride for himself enough. Solution: bring in a guy to take away half his leadership in MSR/Ronde/Ardennes.
Should've stayed over 2014 and then left once his old contract expired.
---
Also, Renshaw reunites with Cav at OPQS next year.

Hopefully it does not affect the rebirth of Gert Steegman's career too harshly. Though with how well Steegmans has been performing as lead out man for Cavendish, despite the Omega Pharma-Quickstep train sometimes disappearing, a trio of Steegmans - Renshaw - Cavendish could potentially be quite good. |
