Ah yes, forgot to add that to my previous post: WTF Kessiakoff? Well done.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

Incredible TT by Kessiakoff, didn't expect him to do this well.

If there's still a soul out there who thinks Gesink can't ITT he should kill himself now.
Gesink is one of the very few riders who actually won back time on Kessiakoff in the final part and created a gap with ALL GC contenders in the final part as well. Let that be the part which was flattest and most technical (tt qualities...).
Also the 2nd best of all GC rides on the climb as well.
Gesink looking much better now than at the start of the Td Suisse when he was still getting used to normal altitude. I expect him to attack tomorrow and sunday. But Costa will hold with this form. Only a collapse can stop him |

Nice one, Kessiakoff. Cancellara still not fully fit after his Ronde crash. |

Hmmm...
Well I think all this does is help prove the Astana doping rumours.
And Costa definetley peaked too early.

I like how you freak out about well-founded accusations against Armstrong, a 7-time Tour de France winner in a era of doping, yet you're allowed to accuse Kessiakoff / Astana of doping because of a win in a time trial of Tour de Suisse. |

I was being sarcastic. I'll add a smiley then.

Glad Sweden can still be happy about something today! I like Kessiakoff.

Gesink says he is not happy with his time trial. He says his chain skipped at the start of the Pfannenstiel. Further on the road he lost his wattage meter which is very important to him. And near the end he had a shortage of sugars because he forgot to take an energy gel after the warm-up.
He says it didn't went well and he "could've won" the time trial under normal circumstances

He also said that the time trial was quite hilly with a lot of pace changes, and that he is expecting a much flatter course during the tour.
I know you like Gesink, but you need to give all info if you want to prove that Gesink can TT

Of course he says he isn't happy and he could've won.
Everyone says they could've won everything, but only one always does. |

I think most riders who finish 5th in a time trial not being known as a specialist would be happy regardless of what happened.
So no, this is definately not the normal reaction. |

Yeah, of course, I was just making a bit fun of the "coul've won" part, because you hear it nearly every day in sports. It wasn't specifically at Gesink
No offense meant |

I hope that Gesink will be fully fit in the Tour, because he seems to really have improved a lot in the time-trial, and could give a shot for the podium. |

Gesink could go for podium, I think he won't make that podium, though. Top 5 would be good for him. |

That would mean no progress between 2010 and 2012. Because despite no Schleck/Contador, he would finish around the same place.
Then again, he did break his leg in between, so maybe top 5 is excellent with that in mind... |
