Not awful for me at all thanks to GB and minor scoring from Alba, Arndt and Anton. Hope we can squeeze some big points from La Vuelta soon to hold on to our top 5 (how we've got that is a mystery to me!)

La Vuelta ciclista a España
2018-08-25 - 2018-09-16

The third GT of the season is soon to start and the probably 100% accurate startlist is published. A lot of undraftables as usual in GTs but still lots of high quality starters for the league.
Viviani (jaxika), Trentin (Tamijo) are just some options for the sprints while the GC list of potential top10 finishers is huge:
Miguel Angel Lopez/Henao Montoya (roturn), S.Yates (OZrocker), Kruijswijk (Marcovdw), Kelderman (Tamijo), Bennett (Jandal), Carapaz (dominox), Woods/Majka (bbl312), Formolo (alexkr), Buchmann (NV), Bilbao (ember), de la Cruz (Jaxika), Mas (Aquarius) must be named.
Then lots of big scoring options for stages mainly such as Benoot (matt), G.Izagirre (jandal), Dennis (Abishek), Teuns (OZrocker) and many more.

Bretagne Classic - Ouest-France

Not yet 100% complete startlist but it`s a weekend race and hence here the provisional startlist. Wellens for Marco might surprise the tougher sprinters while Gaviria (ivaneurope) is a solid bet for a top result as well as also season great Impey for sutty or Degenkolb for Ollfardh.

Deutschland Tour
2018-08-23 - 2018-08-26

10 years after the last event, the Deutschland Tour is back with a not yet 100% startlist. For a 2.1 race the starting field is quite impressive on that 1 flat, 3 hill stages race.
No other than TdF winner Thomas (hillis) is a big favourite here alongside undraftables Dumoulin and Bardet!
BinckBank winner Mohoric (dominox) will surely be in great form as well with Caruso (Marco), Martin (alexkr), Vanendert (hillis) and best home rider Schachmann (Tamijo) should do well here.

Great War Remembrance Race
2018-08-24

And the third not yet 100% secured starter field. But Also in 2 days already and hence worth a mention in this post. Gaviria (ivaneurope), Lampaert (Tamijo), Dupont (jaxika) the big favourites with neo pro Jakobsen (dominox) surely as well with his impressive season so far.
Theuns (Tamijo) and De Bie (trek) also outside favourites.

As I had hoped, my impressive Burgos squad moved over to the Vuelta and should hopefully deliver big!

M.Angel Lopez hopefully ready for a big GT appearance while Sky`s no-clear-leader should give Hart and Henao solid chances, even though I guess de la Cruz is their main men, who unfortunately isn`t in my team.

Meintjes and Kudus showed better form again in Burgos and top10ed there. Hopefully similar strong in the Vuelta while Haig had a good US trip but with 2 Yates in his team, more a last men support rider.

Moreno and Pardilla jus like Preidler are good for a stage win while Walscheidt, De Dier and Bol are not that bad neither and could score with a bit of luck.

Ah so that's why Oomen and Latour are not in the Vuelta, they want to win the sprint in Plouay Rolling Eyes

First of all, sorry to not having given you late season and final rankings, so at least last bit will be done here.

Job and Private Life really got me busy recently and while surely having little spare time here and there, I hardly was able to check daily as regularly as I would have liked...time will tell if I am able to find more time soon.


Final Manager Ranking 2018


Being best in the late season Ozrocker and Tamijo climbed a bit but actually all but hillis and jandal did pretty similar of the top8 and only seperate ~500 points since the Vuelta start.

In total AbishekLFC takes the close win in the 2018 PCM.Daily Fantasy League competition! But making it really close as dominox is just 37 points off in 2nd.

After a gap of 1000 points Marco takes the final podium ahead of hillis and jandal, who lost all chances on beating Marco by scoring 1000 points less in the last events.

jaxika, Tamijo, OZrocker, trekbmc or jseadog in the middle of nowhere while sutty, ivaneurope and matt find themselves in bottom 3 below talent squads of Ollfardh or Croatia.

Final Rider Ranking 2018


Rider wise OZrocker picked the best individual in Simon Yates and imagine, he hadn`t become valuable in the Giro! He would have been even more dominant.
This way it was a close duel with Elia Viviani for the crown and Tour de France winner Gerraint Thomas as best of the rest ahead of Roglic and Miguel Angel Lopez.
Bernal, who lost quite some time this season also with an impressive top10 and with Terpstra or Valgren some more riders that had a stunning 2018 after not being similarly scorers in 2017.

Impey, who still is a huge improver just drops out of the shown top15 but carried sutty all season long. Just not enough as main team scorer. That said, a brilliant round 13 pick! Valgren as round 4 similar impressive.

On the opposite Cavendish with 125 points being a first round pick was probably a bad idea and also Chaves, Kittel, Nizzolo, Barguil, Trentin or even Gaviria were hardly worth it.

Biggest rider improvement 2018

Tour de France fighter Craddock had a huge 2018 in comparison to 2017 but his amount of points is rather low. Still fine for a 15th round pick I guess. De Bie as 12th round at 451 points was an even better pick and the believe in him was just a good thing.

Nizzolo next was a gamble in the first round and while 444 points are easily better than his 2017 66, I am not sure, it was worth it to go that early for him.

Jakobsen might be the best of all picks. 777 points from a 16th round pick is great. Really a breakthrough year for the young sprinter. Similar impressive the jump from Impey from 242 to 1018 points! And it`s not like it was a breakthrough year, he is there for ages already!
Also Schachmann from 221 to 777 is a nice stepup while Terpstra from 417 to 1097 was just in old form again after a weak 2017 and Thomas up to 1961 is due to this big TdF win.

Several others that could be named. One surely deserves. Hofstetter as 24th round inside the top10! Just as impressive as Jakobsen surely and this must be one of the top3 picks this year. Moreno and Serry another last round picks high in that ranking here.

Couldn't come near 2nd again, I thought Nizzolo was going to pull off another big season but he didn't deliver. the 2nd highest percentage of 2017 points kinda proves that I focussed too much on underperformers last year I guess. Pfft Still Terpstra, Van Aert, De Bie, Brambilla, Grivko, Debusschere and Bole turned out to be a really good depth of picks for the late rounds, (also Taco beat his 2017 after being zero most the season) we were just let down by Nizzollo and Gallopin).

Congrats Abhishek on the win! You had some really good picks there, 3 in the top 15 really is a lot. And thanks a lot for running this and getting that last update out despite busy times irl Roturn, I always really enjoy this game! Smile

3 in the Top 15 did the trick! Valgren probably the surprise star of the year. Great to continue the upward swing from 4th last year. Great job to dominox as well. That was close!

For sure my worst year. It's not hard to blame my riders though, so I'll do just that. Degenkolb without a doubt the worst first draft pick ever (although he still scores decent somehow now that I checked the rankings - can't remember much of him this season?). Oomen and Latour were ok, but they had to work for Dumoulin and Bardet instead of getting their own big race. Bettiol was invisible, De Plus had a bad crash and the others I considered filler. At least Lawson Craddock gave me something to cheer for.

Congrats Abhishek for the win! Not much can be saiid from my team, obviously Coquard + Van Garderen was a terrible starring duo, at least managed to avoid being Bottom 5 and also get a better result that those riders would have gotten in 2017

Congrats AbhishekLFC! But seriously, my young pals were that good?! Can I tell that both Hofstetter/Jakobsen were my picks? My brilliant picks? Cool

38 points more would make me the winner. Yet my best rider was 17th. And there were few riders with much weaker seasons too Pfft

133% of last year points too! I'm so proud of my plan, it was great! xD

Never been especially good at this game. In the end, it's stealing riders that are bound to improve which gets you a good overall result, and I rely on known names too much that are more likely to decline.
