It wasn't a really good season for Juárez as he lost his first 10 H2Hs but now I know what to do better. After those losses he won 8 out of 11 H2H which is a great quota and so he ended up winning more than loosing, what still didn't make him get into the finals as he'd only be 6th in the stronger division. The goal for next season is certainly to get into the finals.
Some suggestions now: I'm not sure if those two divisions are needed. Sure in American sports there are usually some but then the teams of one division play more often against each other than against others. You could make only 1 table and then ensure that really the best 8 riders make it to the finals. So then it'd be 1vs8, 2vs7 and so on.
Another solution would be to add some more rounds so riders would ride twice against riders of their own division and once against the ones of the other division. Then the divisions would actually make more sense to me. |

Currently 8 managers have confirmed their cyclist's spot for next season.
Lukas Wildauer | José Alberto Juárez | Shaquille Sinclair | Peter Pal | Sylvain Lipawsky | Plusvite de la Lumiere | Erik Garner-Hammarling Jr. | Reagan Seperawski | |
That means there are 8 spots to be filled (and perhaps even more).
This will be done on a selective first come, first serve basis.
New members will be selected first then I'll allow the 4 cyclists that didn't check-in previously to get their spot back and if still more spots the managers who had their cyclist retire last season gets to bring another cyclist into the league.
How to sign-up? Follow the guidelines HERE.
MAKE SURE TO READ THE RULES!
Speaking of which, new rules and regulations will be announced when
the season 2 schedule is posted, this may include a new schedule layout
and allow for more than 16 cyclists if the interest is high enough.

Two applications have been confirmed for cyclists from the Netherlands and Ireland. Meaning there are 6 spots left (perhaps even more if the interest is high enough). View the post above to find out how to sign-up.

A cyclist from Italy has been accepted. So, that's 11 total. I'd like to get back up to 16 at the very least, so Robinson said he would rejoin if I can't 16 new faces and Johansen is in the same situation.
To the 4 members that had their cyclists forced to retire last season, you can now reapply. However, it must be a new cyclist you are going to manage. Once a cyclist retires they can't rejoin the league ever again.

The rare quad post A cyclist from Belgium has been accepted. Robinson and Johansen will both return for next season as well because of low interest in new members joining.
So, that means 14 cyclists are signed up. I'll start season 2 when I get back up to 16. The season format will run the same way as season 1, however I will randomize the cyclists into the divisions (and perhaps rename them, got any suggustions? PM me).
To sign up look at the three posts above.

Goddamn it my track thread notification stopped working, and if I miss this when browsing I am a lost puppy without it.
Quite a shame I forgot about it, it's a fun game. Well, since slots are taken I guess Jepernackey was shot trying to get a way from a drug deal on his bike. R.I.P.

Unless I misread it there's still 2 spots available, so he could return through one of them.

Fairly sure it counts as retiring and I would need a new cyclist? That's how I read it.

Christopherson Jepernackey Season Summary
The seasons tarted off with a win for the Crazy Canadian, a prologue against Erik Hammarling Jr. However, this didn't become much of a trend, and following a loss, a win, and another loss. he found himself at 2-2 on the year. Despite his shear disgust for cobbles, Jepernackey managed to bounce back in Week 5, as well as Week 6, beating an undefeated Sinclair. But this was also not to be, as because of his wins, Jepernackey had been out getting into bar fights and had missed training camps. The next 2 weeks would be losses, giving him some huge, depressing hangovers, but allowing him to make his training camps. Jepernackey continued to hover around mid table in the Lemond division, but a losses in Week 9 and 10 to Wildauer and Seperawski respectively made him fall into the elimination positions, and at his rock bottom, to last place. Luckily, this motivated him to do something he had never tried before: hard work and determination. And somehow it worked. He managed to pull out 3 wins in the following weeks to claw of out the depths. but in the competitive Lemond division, this only got him so far. With a loss in week 14 to Hayley Johansen, he was put on the ropes. With his margin, a loss and a Marco Balducci win would force him to retire. That week, he trained all he could. He set a personal best for beating up 12 year olds around his town with 23 total. And it was worth it. He beat José Alberto Juárez on the Champs Elysees to clinch another season. And although he didn't go to playoffs, he is ready to come back strong next season. The off season will be filled with blood, sweat, and stealing a lot of bikes.

Season 2 / Rider Introductions
John McCourt (Age 22) / Dippofix / #IrishIneffective
He tried to go the conventional way, but after two not so successful seasons with An Post, he thought he might have better chances in the H2H league.
Bob van Capelleveen (Age 21) / Marcovdw / #DutchCapel
Bob grew up in the central part of the Netherlands. Ever since he was a child he used to ride the +-50 meter hills in the area. Where other boys joined the football club or played video games, he spend most of his free time on his bike, riding up those same little hills until he could beat cars up there!
Riccardo 'Rocky' Giordano (Age 35) / Smowz / #DodgyDoper
Veteran journeyman of a number of Italian based cycling teams Riccardo was caught up three years ago in a large scale doping bust. Rocky doggedly stuck to the 'Omerta' code and refused to co-operate fully with prosecutors, admitting to his own offences but not supplying lists of other riders.
Has not been part of a professional team since and whilst getting offers from various Asian and American based squads hasn't wanted to travel too far from his home base. Surprised many with high finishes in each of the last two years national championships including previously unseen Time trial abilities with 3rd in the most recent national time trial championships. Has dabbled in cyclo-cross and triathlons and co-orperate bike events to keep the money rolling in.
Rocky sees H2H as a great chance for redemption, he was always a dangerous customer in breakaways with a couple of Giro stage wins, his proudest achievements from almost a decade ago.
Frans Delange (Age 23) / Ian Butler / #TheGraduate
After failing to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional cyclist, Frans went back to college to finish his degree in technical engineering. Now that he's graduated, he discovered there's another way to make some money with his bike. He enters the Head to Head cycling league, which is a brooding ground for betting, both legal and illegal.
Mikkel Sigurðsson (Age 19) / knockout / #Iceman
Born in the city of Hafnarfjörður Mikkel had to grow up under the influence of ice and snow. In a country where only the most resistant teenager dare to ride a bike he was the one who did not cared about weather at all. No matter if the thermometer showed -20 or -50°C Mikkel would go outside and feel confident about it. He doesn't even have a driving license so he uses his bike to go everywhere from A to B.
While he is a nobody on the cycling scene he wants to change that by becoming an Icelandic idol for his country. And perhaps - some day - an Icelandic CT team will become a reality to merge dreams and reality for him.
Tigran Davidyan ( Selwink)
First off, the same format as Season 1 will be followed.
The following rule changes will be introduced however:
1. Time margin will be first tiebreaker, not direct head-to-head.
2. Time trials will be run as a group and then times will be split up for the H2Hs.
3. Managers can PM me once during the season to check their cyclists stats.
Race calendar and assignment of initial stats will be posted in two days.
I will be taking suggestions for possible stages to use by PM.

Oh yeah, first in my division
Can't wait, and time margins should suit Reagan's all-around nature

Will be good to get this going again, with some interesting new riders involved too.
Very tough pool though! Last year's Top 3 all grouped together.

I'd have prefered if they went into the other division

Nope, sign-ups were open for almost a week and finally I got the spots filled. Stick around though, spots are always open at the end of every season.

Yay Schleck!
The group looks much easier this year as well. Last year I was in the hard one.
