Go Lachi!
Man, I really can't wait for this. I'm gonna wait till a good DB comes out though, I fear.

Only thing I wasn't happy with from what the stream showed is the interface for some menus. They have luckily fixed the ridiculously huge mailbox from PCM12's career mode, but there are still some ugly blank areas, I think.
Here, for example:
Just pointless to have more than a quarter of the screen blank, if you ask me.

They took it all, but they put some new blanks. Of course. And that team stat thingy, reminds me when I play PES. |

Just got an email to preorder PCM for about 40 euros. I don't understand why they sell the game at 40 when you can get it at half price in other websites... |

Thanks a lot for that Ian, this game sure looks promising. Even if they can only manage to get 90% of that right, I'd probably buy it..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That's not how DB editors work
Not that I understand anything about programming editors (I don't ), but take the PCM Fast Editor f.e.; even though it has only been made for PCM11, it works with .cdb from all games

Oh, okay so there will just have to be added some categories then (personal rider goals etc) |

That looks awesome, though one thing isn't clear to me, I don't know if they adressed it in the stream.
I assume that new fitness planning replaces the old one completely.
Is there a way to modify this curve after priority races are set?
So far, if I had spare riders after season planning, I assigned them a custom plan so they had a good base fitness level all year long which allowed me to nearly instantly use them as a replacement for injured riders.
Plus, some helpers obviously don't need peak form in their main races so they can easily do multiple GTs etc.

I'm just asking here to be sure of it:
PCM.Daily also sells the game, so a bit of the money goes to this site. I'm all for that, but I've got a few questions, hoping someone could answer them all
1. How is a digital copy different from a hard copy?
2. How big is it to download and what is the download file (torrents required?)
3. When is the PCMDaily version available usually? Couple days later?
So far that's all, thanks in advance!
@cio93: I'm not sure if they said it in the stream, think not. I hope you can edit it yourself. But you can set your helpers' goals to the three GTs and I guess the fitness will adjust itself that way. Think the fitness thing looks pretty great, though. |

1) Digital is download, no disc. Hard Copy means disc version
2) Not sure on exact size (might be on official site) but a good few GB. Think its a direct DL (no torrents)
3) Someone said release day...

1. No difference except that you have a disk.
2. Check DVD of PCM12 to see the size. No torrents
3. It is only a link, you will be redirected to the official shop

Haha I just answered them on the front page.
1. It is downloaded rather than physical.
2. It depends on teh size of the game, that will be announced closer to release. Usually several GB.
3. From the comments in the latest post on the front page it seems that it will be available to buy from here before release day so that it can be played on release. Not that it matters a lot, it usually takes a patch or two to fix basic issues anyway.
EDIT: Wtf... double Zabel'd.

PCM11 was 4,05 GB, PCM12 was 4,17 GB, so expect something like that.

Okay, but my computer is a risk-case, so if it crashes during the download, which could happen, could I download it again? What I mean to say is: do you pay for the download file or do you get the code and can you download the file a million times if necessary? |

And to answer Ian Butlers question: You can download as often as you like, but it is recommended to make a backup because the link might get invalid after a certain time

Ah! I found an old post of mine in the PCM-Portugal forum, with suggestions for PCM2012:
Integração do planeador de época no jogo. Deveria ser possÃvel definir objectivos por ciclista (ou então assignar ciclistas da nossa equipa a objectivos do sponsor) e devia ser proposto automaticamente um plano de treinos, mas deveria ser possÃvel alterar esse plano.
Não faz sentido perder horas no inicio de cada época a planear a época toda manualmente.
Neste cenário que coloco aconteceria algo do género:
- Fabian Cancellara:
- Ganhar PR
- Ganhar RVV
- Gregário no Tour
- Ganhar campeonato do mundo Road e TT
- Participar na Volta à Suiça, sem objectivos
- etc.
Seria proposto um plano com pico em Abril, Julho e Outubro.
Basically I asked that it should be possible to set specific goals per rider and that an automatic fitness plan should be proposed based on those goals. It's close enough |
