That looks awesome, though one thing isn't clear to me, I don't know if they adressed it in the stream.
I assume that new fitness planning replaces the old one completely.
Is there a way to modify this curve after priority races are set?
So far, if I had spare riders after season planning, I assigned them a custom plan so they had a good base fitness level all year long which allowed me to nearly instantly use them as a replacement for injured riders.
Plus, some helpers obviously don't need peak form in their main races so they can easily do multiple GTs etc.
I've taken a better look at the fitness planning screens and I don't see any button to manually adjust it. I'm afraid you'll just have to find the best goals possible to have an evenly spread out fitness schedule. Maybe more goals means more "peaks" but the peaks will be much lower so the line will be more horizontal, if you know what I mean! |

I just don't get it how the system with the green and red line works. Why represent fitness with 2 lines? Isn't it easier with one line that rises and falls?

What lines do you mean? In the fitness schedule from Basso? It's just: Green is fitness and red is the bit of fitness that won't be reached because of fatigue. |

Yeah but why would you say I can reach 90% (green) fitness but only 70% is available (-20% red line). Do you understand what I mean?

Hmm, it doesn't have a real function, but it's nice to see the original fitness program compared to how his fatigue will evolve this way you can see if a schedule is too hard or not. Maybe adding too many goals makes for too tough a schedule and then you'll see the red line taking down the green line entirely? |

Any idea of rider attributes, for people like froome or contador? |

Do you really find that relevant? You can just change them yourself anyway.

Wow, what an improvement. Cyanide actually did what we wanted!
Not that it will be without bugs, and you have to wait for the Daily DB, but definietly a must buy.

Only thing I wasn't happy with from what the stream showed is the interface for some menus. They have luckily fixed the ridiculously huge mailbox from PCM12's career mode, but there are still some ugly blank areas, I think.
Here, for example:
Just pointless to have more than a quarter of the screen blank, if you ask me. How many Conti-Teams do you think could be an a big DB?

Personally I don't like the fitness tbh. Unless the Primary/Secondary stuff has A LOT or criteria, or else there's not much self-planning.
Everything else is nice, just hope they didn't overdo the gaps.

What do you think is wrong with the fitness planning. If it works, then it saves you a lot of time. Why should you want to plan it yourself, don't you trust it? Additionally it should help balancing the game because now AI riders could have individual fitness schedules also. |

Yeah my biggest issue has always been the setting up of a game, which I normally used to sink hours into whereas with this if I can just spend 20 minutes going through and have them automatically created I can get to the actual racing.

The AI part I agree about, just the fact that I can't have more control over fatigue and stuff kind of sucks. Plus, planning yourself adds to the game, isn't that why it's a "manager"?

Planning the season is usually fun for me, deciding fitness schedules meticulously for every rider was nice. So yeah, if there's an option that you can do the schedules yourself or at least have very good control over it would be nice. On the other hand, the AI point that Lachi mentioned is very interesting, let's hope Cyanide used it's potential (f.e. to give more realistic fitness schedules for the smaller teams).

Really it just comes down to personal preference and how much of manager you want.

Thanks for the screens, Ian. The video was hard to watch and the sound was so low I couldn't hear what was said, but the screens summed it up well. |

Doesn't matter. As shown by this screen, the left side is just "selected" teams, which will always be less than 20 something.
