According to dutch media who claim to have seen an uncensored version of Leipheimer's affidavit, the guy who sold him EPO was....Leinders.
So, Leinders doesn't just administer dope, he sells it too.
But yeah, it's total coincidence that Sky took that giant jump in quality in mid 2011 right when they hired him as team doctor.

They didn't take a massive jump in Classics, no spectacular results there.
Already in 2010 there was massive improvement in stage races, Wiggins winning Dauphine as well as Vuelta 2-3. Already from that you could see there was potential for bigger things in 2011.
Adding that the regime ( Wigging's especially ) that only few cyclists take, it's sounds plausible at least you could expect much bigger things to come.
Obviously Leinders is very suspicious, but at least the end of the season for Sky in 2010 you could see signs of things coming. Adding to that no Contador and Schleck, it made it even easier.
Anyway, Leinders saga will last for some time to come.

As we've discussed many times before, it was specifically the team's stage racing core. 4 specific riders

Except that happened in 2011, after Leinders joined. Before he joined (in actual 2010) Wiggins finished the Tour de France in 23rd.

Put it like this: Scarponi and Visconti get bans for working with Ferrari but Sky riders dont get anything despite working with a doctor with connections to doping. |

Speaking of 3 month bans. The Madrid lab is banned for 3 months. Yes, the lab
Apparently they mixed two samples by mistake and as a result told a pro cyclist that he'd tested positive when his sample was clean

There is a big difference, they both do the same thing, but Ferrari is banned Leinders isn't. You can't expect that Sky is punished before there is proof that can be used in a trial, the justice system doesn't work that way (well in cycling it barely works at all..).
Lets just hope Leinders is getting banned too, and more severe "bans" than those Scarponi and Visconti got, are handed out to other parts involved..

Oh come on.. when Wiggins was leading Dauphine, I clearly remember comments that he should give everything there because winning the Dauphine would be better than anything he could achieve on the Tour. (I couldn't resist going back and taking a look:https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_389292) Even yourself posted that a Top 10 would probably satisfy him, honestly I don't see that as "bigger things" you say we could see potential for
Actually some comments from that thread are pretty fun to read now Kinda like the 55 MO that Wiggo had in the PCM08 Official Release (at least in the demo DB )

Yeah definitely, the 2011 Wiggo version pre-Vuelta I didn't believe he would win Tour at all. His 3rd place at Vuelta with no prep races after breaking the collarbone made me think he had a chance of Top 3 at least. However his preparation over winter, plus very strong pre-season form made me think there was going to be destruction at Tour coming from Sky with Froome at Wiggo's hand ( and it happened as well ).

Anybody read 'Sky's the limit' by Richard Moore?
(Story of Sky's debut 2010 season - the one where Wiggins came 23rd?)
Seems stupid some of the things they did in that debut season in comparison to 2011 & 2012. Plus the lack of major competitors (Evans was obviously struggling). |

And as we all know, Cyanide always get the stats spot on
Just for fun, and i consider it news worthy, Cycling is still classed under Other Sport on the BBC website. Funny, as cyclists have won SPOTY twice in a row and is the fastest growing sport in the UK...

Sky sports are just as bad when it comes to cycling too
Wiggins came second in a TT somewhere this year and Sky Sports headline read Wiggins fails dramatically in TT |

In that case, I do believe they were close. Nizzolo was 130th in this years' Giro di Italia, just slightly better than Wiggins in 2008, and has got 54 MO in the latest Expansion Pack release
And they hate Sky in the UK?

Ballan's spleen was removed in emergency operation, which is already quite bad news, however he might loose his kidney as well.
Hopefully he can make it though.
Spleen is more or less useless for normal people, it tends to work as a substitution organ for a few things (might start producing red cells if the rest of your body has stopped doing it, etc.).
Kidney ? Losing one is affordable, I think you need three-quarters of one to live normally. Some pro football players have lost one here (Fabien Lemoine when he was in Rennes - plays in Saint-Étienne now) but have stayed at the highest level.
Of course nobody wants to go through that, but it's much less of a deal than, say, if he would have needed to have one lung removed. |

Losing a spleen and a kidney, okay. He can live with it, but I don't think at age 33 he'll return to full power. His body had too much to endure... |
