Honestly I haven't been paying much attention so far this year. Were there just zero mountain stages in Paris-Nice this year? If so, can someone explain why?

Today it was the mountain stage in Paris-Nice, just that the final climb wasn't as hard as the previous years.
Btw, Kwiatkowski the big favourite now to take the GC win in Tirreno, just 1 second behind Caruso in GC with basically the final short TT left

Not really surprised, he already finished inside the top-10 in a hard mountain top finish some years ago at the Dauphiné, plus finished 20th at last years Tour. And was close to the top-10 in last years Dauphiné, too. He was decent at climbing, now turning better, might be interesting to see if he can become that much of a complete rider in the future. |

Not sure what was up with Chaves, may have been his crash yesterday was worse than I thought 
Bennett looking good in Tirreno, loved to see him go for it out of that chasing group in the final Yates winning in Paris-Nice is awesome too, great way to do it and take the lead!

Have to say that I'm loving Paris-Nice. The weather is making this one for the tough ones (wich for me is good), and I'm absolutely enjoying it cause it has been such an open race with so many names that weren't expected to be fighting for it, with the doubt over LLS capacity to retain his lead.
The collapse of Chaves, Martin, Gallopin, Zakarin, Fuglsang, Costa, Alaphillipe, van Garderen, Mollema, Gesink, Herrada, Calmejane, Poels, Slagter (and to a point I can consider Henao and Soler).. So many that had bad luck or struggled with the weather made way for countless puncheurs and hard men to fight it out and tomorrow's stage is one that I dare to say can be one of the best of the year (just a prediction). It's one of my favourite races and this year it's living up to it's expectations.
Anyway I'm still dreaming of Wellens giving quite a show in the rain tomorrow
