I guess it was some time since this was updated. Embarassed
Man Game first and then later on a new job made it quite busy and hence it went down in priority.

AbishekLFC is leading pre Vuelta but it`s a very close fight with Marcovdw, trekbmc and Selwink being just within 150 points. And also the next already passed the 5000 point mark.

AbishekLFC clearly took profit from a strong TdF by both Uran and Simon Yates, which saw both of them topping their 2016 total by far. Also Barbero, Nocentini, Meyer prove to be decent picks while he has no real desaster pick.

Marcovdw comes with a strong classic duo of Stuyven and Naesen, who performed very well in 2017, while most others did just as good as usual. Konrad, Fraile, Kreder with important backup points for him.

trekbmc gambled a bit on Kwiatkowski but won big times. More than twice as many points as 2016 already and one of the very top riders in this league. Buchmann, Bookwalter, Antunes, Vantomme also with decent improvements from previous season.

Selwink as last of those top teams is a lot more balanced with Zakarin doing his usual performance but might step up if riding a good Vuelta. Same for Poels and hence he is a dangerous manager for the other three.
A top season by Roglic helps his position while also Bennett, Armee, Gaudu, Howson, Pozdnyakov or in especially Jakobsen prove to be huge picks for him.

Further down some teams not even at the 4000 point mark with alexkr00, NicoVirenque and TMM at the bottom 3. Surprisingly some strong 2016 performers.

Just like last year Ollfardh goes strong in this category, which isn`t surprising seeing his favour for young Belgium talents. His team already topped their 2016 total score.

Only ember is coming close at 98% while 2 teams not even reached the 1/2 and unsurprisingly it`s those two teams with high CQ first tactic in the draft.

Rider wise Daniel Martin tops the individual ranking after a huge Tour de France. Surprisingly Gilbert already in 2nd position after a twice as good 2017 and hence worth the gamble on him.

Kwiatkowski, Landa, Demare, Roglic and Uran just like upcoming superstar Teuns with huge progressions this year.

High up there Kittel, Izagirre, Majka or Zakarin actually with worse scoring as last year at that date.

While Contreras leads the percentage of 2016 ranking, the more impressive riders here are Cattaneo, Teuns, Canola, Bernal or Landa. Those are on high percentages of their 2016 total while scoring big as well.

Cool to see an update! Very, very happy with my team, no doubts my riders have overperformed compared to 2016, but also better than I expected. Landa has been great, contract year must take the honours. My BMC trio in Küng, Dillier and especially Teuns have been outstanding, and together with Landa they've been giving me the big points.

If only Moscon could ride according to his potential and capacity in classics and similar races... Pfft

Pre-vuelta Selwink looks like the favourite with Zakarin and Poels being potential big hitters in terms of points.

We're riding off Kwiatek this year and it's kinda working, third place is pretty good but I'm worried we'll just miss out on first like last year. Pfft Selwink is definitely favourite to win now, but congrats Abhishek on building up a nice lead. Smile

Not expecting much from the Vuelta, Buchmann might top 20 but don't think we have any real points scorers racing, we'll probably have to wait for Bergen with Kwiatek + Tony Martin for any proper points scoring chances. Smile

Very pleased to have clumb to 4th place. Not sure if I'm favorite to win here. If Zaka or Poels pulls a magical Vuelta it'll be sure, but I'm not expecting much of Bennett. Would be cool if I could make it to the win here though Smile

Haven't checked this it all since it started, not as good as last year but at least I got a few bargains.

Disappointing to have three members who haven't been able to race this year - I was clearly unaware of Malori's injuries, hope the poor guy will be ok. Westra too, he's been a consistent performer for so long now and it's sad to see him walk away due to off-road drama. A shame also that Peters retired but that's the risk/reward with picking youngsters who haven't had a few years in the WT first.

First of all. Sorry that the updates were really short this year. Only 4 in total with this final one. Nice to see though that some of you made the discussion coming from race to race.
Having started a new job this year, moving into 1 1/2 new flats, the Man Game and other things made it very difficult to keep this as updated as last year.


Final Ranking Update 2017 - 05/11/2017


Before teh Vuelta AbishekLFC had a small ~100 point lead over Marcovdw and trekbmc but in general it was really close.

So with Vuelta, Worlds, Lombardia and several other races happened in the mean time, question is if the small advantage worked out well for him or if any other member was able to claim the lead.

To make it short. No! The Autumn events weren`t really to Abishek`s favour and in fact he was one of the weaker performers and hence dropping hugely. Down to 5th even!

Two of the late season top performers were Selwink and Sutty. Hence both jump onto the podium, first even on top of the rankings and hence being the 2017 Fantasy League Winner! Well done and with quite a gap!

trekbmc once again just like last year as best of the rest. Though his late season neither wasn`t very impressive and hence 2nd only ahead of sutty and Marcovdw.

Other late season top scorer were Tamijo, talent squad Ollfardt or canojuancho. All climb a bit into the first half of the rankings while TMM with his 2016 All Star team scored well late this year but only left the bottom spots this way. Similar with jseadog1, another 2016 All Star squad, who also struggled to repeat last year.

While the average difference between the team`s 2016 and 2017 performance was 99% and hence almost equal to last year, the top5 teams had an average of 117%, which almost remained there when checking the top10.
Bottom 5 on 91% only, which even drops to 84% with bottom 10.

Best percentage scoring team in direct comparison is easily Ollfardh. With a talent squad this was probably expected but having 165% of their 2016 scores is impressive. Sutty at 132% or matt at 130% is coming next.

Jseadog1 with 62% or TMM with 63% as said struggled with their 2016 High CQ gamble.

Rider wise Kwiatkowski was maybe the smartest pick, even though a bit of a gamble after mediocre years. Demare and another strong again in Gilbert also with fantastic seasons.

In general some riders in that top spots that were expected the breakthrough for quite some time now and obviously some that will score even better in future.

For those kind of comparings it`s needed to check % and total obviously. The 1080% of Contreras look impressive, the 54 points in total don`t.

Huge picks hence were De Buyst, Cattaneo, Pöstlberger (in last draft round!), Canola or Teuns! Very well done. dominox really with a good hand here.

Viviani or Landa a bit below also huge due to their total points.

On the down side Groenewegen on first view looks weird seeing his season, which felt great. Though last year was great already. Still a very good pick I`d say as total is more important obviously. Hence underperformer might not the be ideal name here.

Coquard, Brambilla, R.Fernandez, Kangert probably belong to the riders, that were heavily weaker than in 2016 and surely hope for better next season.

Thanks for finishing this! My 8th overall and confortably winning the % rankings is a success. Grats to Selwink, Trek and Sutty (what a result from him!).

I'm wondering if it's possible to make some extra rankings? Like the undrafted riders was fun as well. Or maybe a result for the teams from last year with this year's points?
