NO HE IS NOT! Next season; yes, he now is at the Commonwealth Games riding for Australia. So it wouldn't make sense at all to put him in the 2014 Orica squad. Because then you will see him ride for example the Giro during 2014 which is stupid!

3b. Copy the 8 folders (from 3D to Xml) and paste (merge/overwrite) it in the folder where you have installed Pro Cycling Manager 2014 (usually C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014).

Well, YOU could do that if you want, I won't do it in the A.S.O.DB, because unfortunately this feature of cyanide isn't bugfree (it sometimes messes up the contract negotiations) and I want my database (as always) to be bugfree.

Don't know what you have done wrong, just follow the installation instruction very carefully and you should be fine.

Stages Pack = variants, real routes of previous years and 2014 races. So you could start, but then you will miss some 2014 races.

The A.S.O.DB has everything correct, guys who signed for a team during the season ride with that team (like Samuel Sánchez González/BMC), guys tested positive during the season are free riders with the UCI assigned ban (like Diego Ulissi) and guys are free riders because they won't ride one single official race during 2014 for their future teams (like Caleb Ewan)

You can install the Emmea/Cyanide Variants before installing the A.S.O.DB 2014 without any problems.

This is your (and a common) misconception. Sagan already has huge stats. So if you give him potential 6, his potential will be too low for the game to fall between the limits set in the youngridercarac XML files. Thus Sagan will progress beyond his potential, usually 3 points. You don't want that to happen.
Giving him potential 7 means, if the XML used are correct, that he won't progress much more with the stats he already has.
Ewan has very low starting stats, so with potential 6 he will usually develop a lot. But still it's random each time, because for example in Kentaurus XML a potential 6 rider could be a world beater. But could also be just too weak at 1 point, and become a sub-top rider.
Give Ewan potential 7 and he could become as good as Sagan. But it's the question wether OlegTinkov believes Ewan can become as good or not. Clearly not because he gives potential 6, but that's personal opinion. And with talents very hard to predict
Indeed! Also what's make you think that the potentials haven't been edited? Because in fact I have edited the potentials of approximately 3000 riders!

From now on you can open PCM by double clicking on the created shortcut.

The issue with Impey and Ulissi is that I´m not sure if they pop up in the teams they rode for earlier this year. Since you made them Free riders. It might work anyway.

His doping and ban came later and was not in force at that time. Ulissi rode in several other big races including the Giro and trying to recreate correct startlists for those races should include these riders.
You said that Cadel Evans was under a ban in your DB. How will this intervene on a start in the Giro ?. Perhaps one could lift the ban or what.
Startlists is after all something in the past. If one go for career mode it will be different.
To reflect I believe that riders like Lance Armstrong is in Historical Databases even if he was riding all those year under the influence of enhancing stuff.
I will try out some startlist on your DB when it is properly inserted in the correct places.

As said before, you can, (I think it's compatible) but the A.S.O.DB has it's own sponsorkits, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Yeah kinda wanted him to give a warning to back up your files before installing not that i have a problem with it i kind of like it but i feel he should take it into consideration for future releases
