The reason why you start sprinting at 700 meters before the finishing line and not 200 is because of the scale the stages are in.
I can't see a way to make the last 10k more realistic when it comes to distance before the finishing line.
Real time.
I like the animations, btu wish they would set them. The ttype of animation a rider sprints with is completely random. They should set it to look the most like real life permanetley for the rider.

Do you mean an individual sprinting style?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

They have like three sprinting animations. So they should set them permanetley to riders to be the most realistic for that rider. Not make new ones, just assign the ones they have.

I think the sprinting's pretty good on 2011. Though I feel that (when playing on normal), winning sprints is much easier than winning in the mountains. |

It was actually a late respond on the subject of sprinting, the subject opened up with someone saying he didn't like it that much
And, since I'm not English-speaking originally, what do you mean with pint? Unless I'm gravely mistaken, you mean beer |

Oh, okay
No I got the point, I just wanted to say whatever I said.
Wouldn't it be possible to give a sprinting animation to a rider in an editor? Or isn't that a possibility? |

I don't know, cause they're random in game. lluuiiggii would probably know.

Not only me, but no, it's not possible to assign specific animations to specific riders.

It's hard-coded in the game's engine. You would have to have access to engine to add some new animations to the game. And of course that's impossible.

Indeed. But for me it doesn't really matter, it's a small detail, just an animation |

maybe this has been up before in this thread, but I would like to see an improvement in the sponsor area. Maybe that u get a lot of money if you please the sponsor a lot, a medium amount if you do ok, and maybe get fired if you don´t live up to the expectations. (kind of like pcm 2008)
I remember lachi or llluiiggi writing something about doing an editor for the pcm2011 on this, but I would like to see it implemented in next PCM also.
I think the sprints are very realistic in the 2011, except th efact that a lotof stages ends with a nasty turn. Good for them it´s not like that in real life with 300 metres to go |

It's been said many times indeed
We're all hoping for a big improvement in the sponsor area!
Keep your fingers crossed. |

I admit I didn't read all the 17pages of this thread so maybe this has already been asked.
Is there a chance that in pcm2012 the classifications system will be more flexible? I've been playing pcm on and off since cycling manager 4 and it's always been the same stuff:
general classification, points, mountain and young rider.
However many races don't use this system, like the Vuelta doesn't have a young rider classification, instead there's a combination classification. Or the Vuelta al PaÃs Vasco has a sprint jersey instead of the young rider and so on.
So, is it going to be the same once again?
I'm sure if they at least gave the community the chance to edit/mod this option, the game will be a lot more real (and fun). |

Well I highly doubt it will be in PCM12 since it comes out in less than a week I think. But you can always hope for PCM13.

The Classifications will moretheless stay the same way.
It'd be hard to give each race another class. Too much work, imo.
It doesn't bother me that much, but I understand it bothers you. |
