I'd like to see a bigger difference in the skill of descending a mountain, it doesn't feel like the skill does much now. I'd also like to see more tearing up in the peleton when there's a lot of wind. Graphics can stay the same, it's almost impossible to run on highest quality anyway, gameplay much more important. Maybe some improvements on the manager side of the game. |

riders with a higher descending stat go into the tuck position earlier than those with a lower one
it's more noticable in TTs, when you can note the percentage/km when the rider does it
not that there's any speed gain, it's just a saving energy feature |

From what I know that's only an animation (thus it has no effect whatsoever in how the rider feels/reacts). If you try to run a normal race and watch some of the animations in specific moments, when you run the replay you'll notice the animations will be different (with the same 'base', of course - e.g. a rider will attack in one animation in "live" gaming and attack with another animation in the replay).
I think downhill is nicely set (its effects). I remember seeing my rider with 70 or something DH not being able to keep with a rider with 83 DH. But it also depends on the descents, the more curves there are the less effect the downhill has (worse gameplay as well), while you can clearly see the difference in the long stretches of road.

the sprint in 2011 isn't realistic, you don't start with final sprinter 1 km or more before goal... Think last 3, 5 or 10 should be more real... And maybe last km or 2 last on sprints in the middle. Hope they fix it now or to 2013.

Of course it's not realistic to start with the last sprinter more than 1 km from the line, but there's a 1-10 scale in the game you know.. they won't fix it since it's not a problem (it's made this way).

The reason why you start sprinting at 700 meters before the finishing line and not 200 is because of the scale the stages are in.
I can't see a way to make the last 10k more realistic when it comes to distance before the finishing line.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Real time.
I like the animations, btu wish they would set them. The ttype of animation a rider sprints with is completely random. They should set it to look the most like real life permanetley for the rider.

Do you mean an individual sprinting style?

They have like three sprinting animations. So they should set them permanetley to riders to be the most realistic for that rider. Not make new ones, just assign the ones they have.

I think the sprinting's pretty good on 2011. Though I feel that (when playing on normal), winning sprints is much easier than winning in the mountains. |

It was actually a late respond on the subject of sprinting, the subject opened up with someone saying he didn't like it that much
And, since I'm not English-speaking originally, what do you mean with pint? Unless I'm gravely mistaken, you mean beer |

Oh, okay
No I got the point, I just wanted to say whatever I said.
Wouldn't it be possible to give a sprinting animation to a rider in an editor? Or isn't that a possibility? |

I don't know, cause they're random in game. lluuiiggii would probably know.

Not only me, but no, it's not possible to assign specific animations to specific riders.

It's hard-coded in the game's engine. You would have to have access to engine to add some new animations to the game. And of course that's impossible.

Indeed. But for me it doesn't really matter, it's a small detail, just an animation |
