I definately didn’t bring the 9th best lineup for this race, so it was very nice to come away like that, and scoring above 500 points, which gives a bit of a margin for error elsewhere.
It’s still somewhat worrying that an 80HI rider with amazing ACC and decent MO and SPR seems completely worthless this season. Atleast there’s some learning curve from it in terms of riders to train in the upcoming season. I would have spent a lot of cash on Vila if Koretzky was working, but it looks like Soulious is probably a better investment, despite not really ending up better on paper.

You all SUCK imagine being beaten by a PCT team BARELY OUT OF RELEGATION SPOTS (and also the best team in the PCT )
Obviously very proud of Bennett and Fouche in this race. So nearly a stage win for the former a couple of times but bringing home 4th and a good effort in the KOM while Fouche bursts onto the scene with the U25 jersey and a stage is a very memorable race for us and New Zealand cycling (best ever GT finish?). Would write more but did most of my reflections after Stage 20.
Thanks for the reporting throughout Abhi, huge work just to report a GT on time and with serviceable writing and screenshots, but to deliver your quality is an exceptional effort

If the final week had gone our way, it would have been a special race for us. Depth at least saved us a bit, but this was definitely our best GT lineup, so would have liked a bigger gap.

It was a very mediocre race for us, Enger was the only rider to really score.

Not a good race for us. Only the time trials were decent. It was tough to see Chamorro falling off so hard after wearing the maglia azzurra so close from the end. Thanks for the coverage!

First of all AbhishekLFC stellar reports mate, informative yet not too much and great screenshots as well.
I feel sorry for Dombrowski/Gazelle, but also have to congratulate Shikai/Polar with a historic win! Not much in it for us in the first Grand Tour of the year ->
Banaszek finished 7 times in the top-10 and one time 3rd during the flat stages. We were in the morning break away a lot (1xTikhonin, 1xRybalkin, 1xArslanov, 2xTrakhov, 3xFoliforov and 5xMamykin), but it didn't matter much:
Mamykin was able to finish 3rd twice during the mountain stages 16 and 20, which let to a 15th place in the General Rankings. Well at least Mamykin was part of "the break". #neverforget

Absolutely dreadful race from the team’s perspective. Kemboi managing only two decent sprints across the whole race would be bad enough, but the passive racing from Cort and Prado in a race dominated by breakaways was not what we needed. Some lessons to learn from this in terms of roster building going forward for sure. Thanks for the reports!
