Bruce Millan was the comissioner of Regional Policy under the delors Comission (really wish I went for lord Cockfield tho)
the question is "Name a European commissioner", implying current commissionners. Millan isn't a current one as he's dead

This is gonna be a thriller. I guess I should have the advantage int his last round, but I really don't, because I with have different perceptions about the questions than those looking at America from the outside. I hope I can pull it out nonetheless.
Great questions in this last round. A lot of ways to go with them but also a clear selection of favorites.

Picking out a city was the hardest one for me But we should have similar answers for one or two I would hope

I'm gonna have to extend the deadline again. I won't be around at the time of the deadline today, and likely for the rest of the day afterwards, so I'm setting the deadline, exactly 24 hours later, 21 January 12AM CET

1. Name an American who’s not associated with politics
The great variety of answers with this question is obviously interesting. Eventually Lance Armstrong managed to win this one (provisionally), ahead of Bill Gates. All other answers got 1
Spoiler Lance Armstrong 3x
Bill Gates 2x
Kobe Bryant 1x
Tayler Wiles 1x
baseballlover312 1x
Dixie Normous 1x
Rob Gronkowski 1x
Neil Patrick Harris 1x
Tejay van Garderen 1x
2. Name an American city with a population under 500 000
Only 1 answer to get more than one mention: California state capital Sacramento got 3 mentions.
Spoiler Sacramento 3x
Newark 1x
Miami 1x
Cut and Shoot TX 1x
South Park WY 1x
Boise 1x
Port Aransas TX 1x
Salem 1x
Atlanta 1x
Corpus Christi 1x
Honolulu 1x
3. Name an American national park
Again only 1 answer with more than one mention, but this time Yellowstone, the oldest national park and seemingly the most famous as well, got 6 mentions. Not answering this was a real round killer.
Spoiler Yellowstone 6x
Yosemite 1x
Wrangell-St Elias 1x
Joshua Tree 1x
Olympic 1x
Grand Canyon 1x
Lassen Volcanic 1x
Haleakala 1x
4. Name an American university
Harvard dominated this round with 5 mentions. MIT was the only other answer to score more than 1 point.
Spoiler Harvard 5x
MIT 2x
Rutgers 1x
The United States University 1x
Auburn 1x
Penn State 1x
Washington 1x
Slippery Rock 1x
5. Name an International Organization America is a member of
Unsurprisingly, the UN came out on top in this round with 6 mentions. NATO got 3 points, the rest got 1.
Spoiler UN 6x
NATO 3x
REEEP 1x
UNICEF 1x
Fourteen Eyes 1x
DR-CAFTA 1x
PeterRyder gets a perfect round! Trailing quite far behind we find SSJ2Luigi, trekbmc and baseballlover312.

In the overall, it was very close until the very end, but eventually it's baseballlover312 who takes a marginal win over PeterRyder, with trekbmc also being just one point further behind. Roturn drops back to 4th after messing up this round. The gap to 5th place, fjhoekie, is already sizable.

Wow! Not my best round and I made some bad judgement calls, but in the end I pulled it out! Shout out to Luigi also for his Q1 answer!
Thanks to Selwink for hosting and for the great questions. And for that excel file. It should make it easier to keep this up to speed as I'm quite busy at the moment.
First round of questions will be up later today.
