What is the MQ?

The MiniManGame Quotient (MQ) was developed by a South African University to bring the MiniMangame results in a ranking. The idea is, although there is no official ranking, to evaluate and compare the different teams over the course of the seasonwith each other. The MQ team successfully built a method to do so. The funds were provided by Standard Bank that is also sponsoring a team in the MiniManGame.
The ranking is inofficial and independent!

The actual ranking

- Individual -

Millenium's Hugo Sabido is the man in front in the rankings. This is not very surprising, as he is known to be one of the strongest men in the MiniManGame. So far he come in second in the Giro di Padania, also taking the Points jersey, and also had in Andorra a decent result. Spots 2 and 3 are so far taken by the winner of a stage and the GC in Andorra (Andrew Bajadali) and Tom Stamsnijder (one stage and GC in Tour du Haut Var)

- Team -

The team ranking is dominated by two teams. Rucanor, with three riders in the individual top 10, is coming 200 Points in front of KazMunayGaz. Biggest successes of Rucanor are so far the win of the Tour de Haut Var by Tom Stamsnijder, the runner up place in Andorra of Stefan Cohnen and Krisztian Lovassy's win in the Tour of Rutland. KazMunayGaz scored so far especially in the Giro di Padania by taking GC's 1st and 4th and also by placing two riders in the Top 10 in Andorra. After those two teams there is a huge gap to third spotted team Standard Bank. The South African team stood out through it's consistency, most notable results are the KoM jersey taken by Phetetso Monese in the Tour du Haut Var and Top 3 results in several stages. After spot 3 the margins to the next placed teams are very small.

Great idea to make a Mini ManGame ranking bikex. I wanted to do some sort of ranking at some point, but wasn't really sure when I'd have time to set it up, so yours could work nicely.

Im guessing based on CQ in some way?

Btw, if anybody is interested in reporting a Mini ManGame race, feel free to send me a PM. I'm not sure at the moment when the next race will be, with a bit more focus going on finishing off the last 8 races of the Management Game season itself.

SN, when will applications for the Man Game be open?

Not long after the 2013 season ends. So within the next 2 weeks, with any luck.

Great initiative bikex. I have to say that, having reported Andorra, I do think there are many potential actual-MG managers for 2014.

Post Bayern Rundfahrt Update

The Bayern Rundfahrt was a race that was dominated by the sprinters. Besides the time trial there wasn't a stage that didn't end in a mass sprint. Two times the first to cross the line wore the Fuji outfit. Once it was Dario Diaz, who would also take the general classification and on stage two we saw Adam Pierzga, the winner of the Copa America, crossing the line first. Cristian Clavero won the third stage, again ahead of a Fuji rider, this time Diaz. The time trial brought us the first win for team Van Merkstijn, Jenning Huizenga beat the competition. The last stage ended finally the no-win-streak for THE sprinting team in the peloton. Miche's Fabio Sabatini celebrated a stage win here. In the end nobody could stop Dario Diaz from taking the yellow jersey home, also meaning that he was the top scorer this race!

The appearance of team Fuji, besides Diaz, also Pierzga scoring well, means that they took the most points here by a big margin. KazMunayGas is the only team that didn't take at least a single point in the MQ Ranking in Bavaria.

The Actual Ranking

- Individual -

In the Individual ranking there is no big shake up, the TOP 3 stays the same, because the Bayern Rundfahrt winner scored his first points in Germany. These points are enough for him, though, to take fourth place for the moment. Also Clavero and Huizenga are able to move up into the TOP 10. 14 riders took their first MQ points in the Bayern Rundfahrt, meaning that more than half of the riders in the entire game have scored by now!

Rucanor sovereign defended their leading position, even increasing the gap to the second placed team, which is not KazMunayGas anymore, as they disappointed in Germany. The gap from first to second is the biggest in the entire ranking. Fuji took over the silver spot, jumping from seventh to second place. KazMunayGas fall to third spot. Other winners of the Bayern Rundfahrt, besides Fuji, are BNP Paribas and Kalev who both moved up by four spots, now being back in contention for at least the podium. The biggest move up made Van Merkstijn, thanks to Huizenga they jumped 6 spots up the table, now 13th. Majorly loosing spots were Standard Bank, Millenium and especially Commonwelth Bank, they just scored to less to hold off the big scoring teams. The ranking stays extremely close from 5th to 11th, after which is a little gap and after. The smallest gap is only one point, which divides Millenium and Commonwealth Bank in the ranking. The Lantern Rouge stays with Electrabel!
