Guess I can be satisfied with that Omloop result. One guy on the podium and three guys in top ten is pretty solid.
Although I'm slightly annoyed that GVA stopped following the winning move and that Kristoff wasn't in the elite group.
Aside of that , the race went according to my idea I had for cobbled classics . Following all important attacks without wasting too much energy by having to do major shares of the work in these and having lots of riders capable of the big shot.
Kudos to Eisaks for his result!
I very much agree with the Rider. Italo (and Fiskars) looking very strong while Cymru doesn't.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Degenkolb is not really on form yet, hopefully it will come soon. Drucker with a nice 5th at Omloop.
Good to see Kovacic with his first victory of the season. It will be 1 of many, I believe. |

Amazing to see the team in 11th overall, with Kruopis on 15th individual place!
Also nice result by Anton in Iberica

6th for Terpstra in Omloop, surprised Veelers didn't sprint there. But I'm satisfied with that. Still we'll need some better results in the more selective races.
T-A was fine with De Gendt in 15th, although I'm Roinas doing worse than I hoped in Picardie.
Thanks for the results bikex

Some more races posted: Strade Bianche, Roma Maxima & Tachira stage 1.
The two classics come with a video:
I afterwards googled what settings to change with my recording program, so the next race videos I'll make will have a higher quality than the previous ones. |

Was yelling at the screen for Turgot to win that one. The team was actually doing really well with 4 riders up right at the front but unfortunately there was no attack until after the cobbles (at least we attacked though ) So we had to settle for 10th, still happy as long as we do better in the more selective races.
Thanks bikex, I love these videos

What the f*ck is that even?!?!
Not a single one top 10 the entire month of March, in all races we could have definitely done so much better than that. I mean what the actual f*ck happened to Moser at Strade? How in the world did he finish 20th!? I bet it's narrow roads fault. Screw them!
Roma Maxima another major disappointment: I can't believe that neither Oss nor Guarnieri weren't capable of staying in the front group... sigh. And then, I'm super pissed when I see Allianz winning 100% of the time those kind of stages with a 1-2! While we can't even put 1 rider in the top 10! And Italo wins 3 classics in a row!
I'll just stop because my level of anger is over 9000. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

Yeah I kind of feel bad for that. I've never thought we'd start this well into the spring season. Already more wins in spring classics than in the first two years.
Last year Omloop was the only cobbled race Vanmarcke won though. Haller already also his second win in a classic for the team after Gent - Wevelgem 2014.
Until the end of the month I don't expect Italo to be that high up in race results. |

Strade: Didn't see any rider of mine in the video, still got good old 11th from Slagter
Roma: Horrible result with 4 riders in the lead group. Van Keirsbulck disappointing so far (see my earlier prediction)
Tachira: Another Allianz double?

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's ok Bikex, I for one don't distrust you over that.
But that pace! In like 6 hours! Kudos within my team for Roy with a gutsy performance in the hills, the entire team for sticking to the pack in Venezuela, Appolonio for a close miss on the podium in a tight sprint, and Paredes (probably others as well, just off the top of my head) for showing the orange triangles on the break. Now for our first does of team plan "Well there's a lot of stages so maybe we can get a podium"
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Wow, this is my post too. Good to have someone else as annoyed as I am.
Favilli denying me the Brewers clean sweep of 11-12-13 in Omloop is as good as it got.
Still no attacks anywhere from anybody. My team is so passive, they probably have to get other teams to give them food and new wheels. The only positive at this point is how good some of my weaker riders are doing. Christian has really been excellent so far, I spotted him right at the front in the Omloop video before dropping back after his job was done.
I just want some sort of success. The Bunzl jersey is now officially an endangered species.

Once again so much going on, so I am bound to miss out something. Congrats Bikex.
Strade - Great that Gilbert made the selection, only one winner when Nibali attacks on a descent like that though. Could complain, but we will take it gladly: especially after Gilbert was smothered for a while by what looked like a SmarTone rider. Hard to tell though: pleased that the next videos will be in better quality.
Roma Maxima - Welcome booty of points there. Gilbert doesn't make it 3 in a row. But in a much more cobble friendly route opposed to the hills, that is a phenomenal performance. Raises some hopes he might do something great at RVV. Yeah, this is one Indian summer of a last season for him for us.
Ollfardh - Sending your top sprinter to Táchira, eh? VDB starting very well in Venezuela. Nothing good comes from over the top predictions, they just anger the ICL gods: so I am going to say ' we will be happy with an 10th place in GC there' That is what I'm saying!
And, of course: Allianz. |

Stybar is at least keeping up and sorta semi-active, guess he's missing some support along the line. Well we never were a cobblez team, and probably won't be one in the future.. Consider it an experiment after Barguil (cry cry cryyy) and Spilak fail in off-season.
Purito with an solid Purito-performance in a Purito race. It's his last chance to win something big (Vuelta, a monument), so he better make it count. Liege, Lombardia or Vuelta.. (That said, with all the Time Trials I don't even think he can do that well in Spain, but Giro and Tour would have been a no-chancer for him as well sigh). After that he's declining and will likely have the honour of helping Contador in GTs, yeah.

I guess I'm ready for Specialized to just not do anything in Venezuela. Hopefully stage 1 wasn't a future indicator and we can get into some breaks later on.

Hoping Bardet can make the most of his best chance this season in Venezuela (no TT ) and give the team a boost after a pretty dismal March so far.

What happened with Villella in Strade? Horrible start of the season for him and for the whole team actually.
Totally messed up my planning with not sending Degenkolb to Rome... oh well, he'd probably have failed anyway.
Now it is up to Nerz to crush my hope for a good result. |

Bloody hell That's not even too different from my team lineup in these kinds of races, question is why it won't ever occur to us

First victory for Demare in Italy!
Breschel was looking so good in Roma Maxima but only ended up with a 6th place after taking the wrong wheel in the sprint and get slowed down! also Nice to see my Scandinavian Champions Breschel and Bertilsson pairing up in Their Swedish and Danish national shirt!
Wiggo and Simon Gerrans!
