Removing a nationality bonus and replace it through an overpowered daily form. Why I am not surprised by a Cya move like that?

Dear Man-Game. All I want for my 30th birthday is a Tour de France stagewin. I hope you can grant me one.

Definitely a strong Martin there, and I can't help but think the stage win might have been possible if he hadn't attacked just before the sprint. But there really is no way to stop Pluchkin, congratulations again, Avin!
And happy birthday, SotD. Hacecký in the breakaway can't be bad for such a day Speaking of the breakaway, it looks like we've decided we can only join them on the flat stages, which is kind of annoying as we don't have a top climber here, at least not stat wise. Hopefully Martin can make up for it with more strong performances like on this stage!
Thanks for the report, SN! |

Not as good as could have hoped, maybe we might reclaim the teams classification.
Thanks SN.

Cool stage, I'm glad it wasn't rated as too hilly. Losing a bit to Taaramae is a bummer, but it could always have been worse. Pluchkin is definitely on top of this race.

Not too bad by Monsalve, he got a chance on top 10, just need to beat those 3 one more time

Jose doing nicely on the mysterious hilly but mountainous opener to this key section.
Pou pou is on different planet but behind scramble for placing so is on like donkey kong.

Yeah although the reports are amazing, this TDF is probably the most boring so far GC-wise, also this is the weakest TDFstartlist ever? But the breaks are fun to follow, and just not winning for wildcard team is at least adding some drama to this quite flat TDF. Still no abandons also shows that the pace isn't too high up until now, hopefully this will change the coming days, especially stage 20

Congrats again Avin.
Glad to see Rein catch some bonus seconds, but I'm sorely disappointed he hasn't initiated attacks on any of the hilly stages. I'm pretty much giving up on winning, now he needs to hang in there so he can try to be in contact with Amador for the TT, then hopefully pull out some time

So close there for David Lopez in his second breakaway of the Tour. Just didn't have enough in the tank to bring home the win but certainly a great effort from him. Would like this to continue in the final stages as he is now 4th in the KOM.
Valls should finish in the Top 13 which is good and he can still make it great by taking that Top 10 spot but a lot can happen still in these final stages which should shake up the GC a fair bit.

Get in the break, you useless tools...
This is a great race for the neutral and the reporting is fantastic, but it's causing me great anger and frustration. |

YES! We have done it
A great win from the breakaway for the Frenchman Arnold Jeannesson as he takes a Mountain stage and a win for the wildcards. Great ride from him to get in the breakaway and then outsprint the rest, just.
Valls meanwhile a little disappointing but 13th is still very good considering he is probably the worst climber on paper of all of them.

Another excellent stage from the red bull climbers. Destribios getting in the break and Jose in lead GC group, it really solidifies GC and team standing positions. alar on still very much in the podium hunt and certainly well on for a top five finish.
The tt looms and it will be a case of trying to chip time off of sicard and taaramae on the mountains if possible around that.
The reports with summaries of GC picture are fantastic loving the work.

This is what I was afraid of. Alarcon and Amador have the next two mountain stages to try and break Rein, and it was only his excellent desceding on this stage which meant he only lost a lot of time. Very worried.

Happy with that from Martin, gapping Úran and Velits with three minutes should be useful looking at the coming stages. 6th place in the GC would be great, but Dombrowski was very, very impressive there.
Hopefully Martin can have a great day on Les Deux Alpes, then sixth place overall should be possible considering the TT is to his advantage compared to Dombrowski.
Well done Amador to gain significant time there on Taaramäe, now it's definitely advantage for the Costa Rican in the fight for second.
Congratulations to Luis Leon Sanchez! Really proving they were well worth the wildcard.
And thanks again for another brilliant report, SN. Really enjoy the pictures as they're very varied with a lot of different camera angels used. |
