It was the 4th attempt at running the stage! My PC kept crashing so in the end i cut the graphics a fair amount, but at least i got the stage played through!

Stage 5

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/s5-1.jpg

The second of 2 days in Brittany, this one seems tailored perfectly to a sprint. Farrar is keen, and we will work to ensure the first genuine sprint finish of Le Tour!

We chose not to join the break today, saving resources later on to protect Tyler, we watched an 11 man group form, including such names as Langeveld, and 2 men from Lampre.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0001-41.jpg

Much as we had expected teams were waiting for us to get involved in todays chase, we obliged, sending Rollin and Beyer to the fore, helping sky to bring back the leading group.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0003-33.jpg

The breakaway was looking doomed with 20km to go, 4 men including Cooke and Langeveld tried to shed the weak links in the break and stay out a little longer, however it wasn't to be, and with 10km to go, it was all back together.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0004-34.jpg

7km to go, and this stage is looking good for a sprint, we have formed a train for Farrar, leading him out, with many sprinters falling in behind.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0006-28.jpg

Once again we see a small group of Punchy Roulers trying to messup the day for the sprinters, this time we react, kicking up a gear in the sprint train for Farrar, and also getting Freddy onto the wheel of the group, tagged behind Lars Boom.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0008-38.jpg

1.8km The group is still there on the left hand side of the road, whilst in our train, our final leadout, Sheldon Deeny has just taken over at the front, Farrar has Boonen on his wheel, but Hushovd, Petacchi and Cavendish are all a way behind, there teams have failed them, will they close the gap alone?

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0009-39.jpg

450m to go and Deeny has given his all, he's cranked up the speed, and its Tyler vs Boonen vs the Rouleurs now, surely they can't pip the sprinters again?

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0010-40.jpg

250m to go. Only Voigt is hanging in there, Farrar's speed is proving too vicious, can Jens keep up, will Boonen sneak around the outside in the final few metres?

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0011-31.jpg

100m Not today Tommeke! Tyler is just too quick and he's going to do it, Tyler Farrar is about to give Exxon our first win at the TdF!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0012-39.jpg

YES! Tylers arms go high in the air, and the whole team are cheering, the debut side are right on form, with there leadout perfectly setting up Tyler Farrar for todays sprint, before his lightening speed is enough to deliver the victory!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0013-40.jpg

Great win Grin And Contador out, interesting Smile Karma's a bitch uh Pfft

There are still some more flat stages so let's hope for more Wink

Btw, for the screenshots, you could try using some alternate angles.. on the last report all pictures were from the same angle. It'd look better imo Wink

Yeah, I normally flit between angles, just got so caught up in the sprint, that I forgot to play with angles, just sat there praying Lars Boom and Voigt weren't going to sneak off with it! Pfft

Stage 6

A fairly challenging day for the sprinters, but one they will none the less expect to compete for. 226km in length, taking place in northern brittany, we will keep
tabs on how Tyler is feeling, if he's good, then we'll be one of the key sides reeling in the break, if not we may leave it to others and seeing what we can get should it come back together for a sprint.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/s6-1.jpg

The morning breakaway was allowed clear at the first attempt, not many riders fancied 220km in 30degree temperatures, and 4 men were all that made it out in front. Zingle - Cofidis, D.Oss - Liquigas, M.Mori - Lampre and E.Gasparotto - Astana (Winner of stage one)

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0001-43.jpg

We allowed the breakaway 13minutes with 125km to go, but it was becoming clear that Tylers legs were feeling good. as such, we sent 4men to the front, and upped the pace in order to go about bringing back the break.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0002-33.jpg

Once we had started, we were joined by Garmin, Sky and Leopard. The break had little opportunity, and sure enough, as we passed the 15km to go mark, the last men of the break were caught.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0003-35.jpg

With 10km to go, Farrar was sat on the wheel of Rodriguez with Deeny just in front, we were behind the main relay, and once again, no sprinters seemed to be feeling good, Cavendish was over 80places back!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0004-36.jpg

With 5km to go, this was the picture, Rodriguez was leading out Farrar, whilst a Garmin train was forming across the road. just in front of us, Voigt was leading out Schleck, surely the sprinters would become visible soon?

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0005-36.jpg

1.5km and Rodriguez has just opened up the sprint, The trains are all fairly level, but no sprinters are in sight, it's looking good for an american team, Garmin vs Exxon!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0006-30.jpg

One kilometre, and the leaders are.... Leopard! Voigt is clearly feeling good, he's been there or there about every day so far. meanwhile, Farrar is still well placed, and the only other contender, is Samu Sanchéz!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0008-40.jpg

Farrar shows that he is the only true sprinter in the competition, riding away from the rest in the final 200m. Second place falls to Sanchéz whilst Voigt hangs onto the podium! Fred Rodriguez will also be very pleased, despite a leadout role today, he still hangs on for 10th place!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0009-41.jpg

And this victory is enough to grant us the points jersey into tomorrow, the final day of week one. So far the sprinters has relinquised there opportunities for a stage victory or a grip of the Maillot Vert, there running out of opportunities now!

Stage 7

A pan flat finish to week one, this is surely one for the sprinters, even those without a chance for overall green jersey, will be hunting for stage wins, this seems a good opportunity for such an event.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/s7-1.jpg

7 men found there way into todays break, including usual suspect, Sebastien Langeveld of Rabobank. once again we avoided joining the escape, with only one Sprint point on offer, and an unlikely day for the break.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0001-44.jpg

The legs of Mark Cavendish have clearly improved during week 1, for the first time in the TdF, we saw HTC helping out The rest of the sprinters teams, meaning the break had no chance today!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0003-36.jpg

Into the final 10km, once again Voigt was right at the front, Boonen was on the wheel of his team mate Chicchi, and we had Rodriguez leading out Farrar in the Maillot Vert. Cavendish and Engoulvent were following our "train" after he lost the wheel of Goss.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0007-30.jpg

5km and the Quikstep train is really strong now, they clearly weren't happy with a duo, and have 5 in a line to lead out Boonen. Chicchi is now shadowing Tyler, with the other sprinters behind him.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0009-42.jpg

2km to go! Farrar has Rodriguez, whilst the rouleurs are still sat just in front, Boonen dropped his train at the last moment to follow Farrar, whilst Cavendish is coming up on the left.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0010-43.jpg

Flamme Rouge, 1km... Davies-Boonen-Nibali is the first train, the second Rodriguez-Farrar-Cavendish-Engoulvent, this will be very close!

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0012-40.jpg

700m to go... Mass Crash! Danielson is involved for us, going down in a heap including names such as Cancellara, Pozzato, Ballan, F.Schleck. These riders get the same time as the peloton, but it will be interesting to see how they are feeling following the crash.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0013-41.jpg

Meanwhile 200m to go, and Boonen has got ahead of Tyler, those two will take the top spots on the podium, whilst Cavendish is holding in tehre for 3rd.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/PCM0014-30.jpg

And yes, Tommeke can throw his arms in the air, he wins the last stage of week one, collecting the points jersey into tomorrows stage. Mark Cavendish also seems to be improving his form, this is the first time he has been close to the front during the sprints.

Transfer Updates

The squad are pleased to announce our two latest signings for this season:

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/TomZirbel.jpg

After return from a doping suspension, Tom Zirbel was looking for a new side, we have had serious talks with Tom regarding the past, and have come to the conclusion that what is past is past, and he is looking for a new, Clean start.

A great TTist, Zirbel will be a great helper for the team, both in sprints and controlling breaks, and he will look to pick up victories in the TT stages throughout the year.

i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o527/Baggieboys32/serpa.jpg

José Serpa is another non North American who has picked up a contract for the coming season. The sponsors felt we were over limiting our options, so they were willing to allow a few signings from the Americas, Namely Brenes and Serpa.

José is a solid climber who will work throughout the year for Exxon-Duke. Serpa is very capable of destroying a large field of riders, the next Szymd?
