Well, that was a nice way to end the season. There isn't much reason to expect Travis to play it even with the big guns, so being one of the most courageous rider of the day is great. And he beats Craddock one more time
I've even forgot of the bad news Kyle had. Looking forward to the final episode (most 'watched' PCM story finale? ). While there's still time, I'll make my final guess: the bad news is Travis won't be able to compete anymore. The severe injuries from the car accident will unfortunately end his career before it started. At this point, Travis realizes it's not Kyle speaking, but rather the hospital doctor. Travis has made the comeback for life, but his cycling dream was just that, a dream. "You may soon go home, Mr. Newtonhart".
(how's that? )
"Travis Newton wins the Tour de Fran...! Is that a goose on the road!?!"
--- *** --- *** --- *** ---
"EVERYBODY UP! First call, I know it's early. No complaining. Let's go boys!"
I looked over at the clock: 4:30AM. I can't do it. I can't get myself to get up.
"Newton! Get your *** out of bed!"
Standing over me was the 1 guy I never wanted to see again; Sergeant Lavelle.
Sound familiar? Yep, that's Chloe's dad. Who knew he was a Sergeant in Army.
And is now he is my Basic Training instruction. It's a small world after all.
Most of you probably saw this coming, but if you haven't figured it out yet.
The bad news I received from Kyle was that I had been drafted into the military.
I wasn't surprised. The world has always been out to get me.
The Wicked Witch of the West, President Clinton, isn't any different.
So now I'm here at Fort Riley, Kansas preparing to go overseas to fight.
My cycling career... basically over. The UCI canceled the 2018 season.
And it doesn't look like this world war is going to end anytime soon
considering nobody is truly aware of what we are fighting for.
Someday the truth will come out, but for now the government isn't talking.
I have become the pawn of a much bigger political system.
I'm no longer the King of my own destiny.
"Newton! Let's go! No wonder you needed roids to keep up."
I guess this marks the end of my journey, my career, and my story.
Maybe we will cross paths again in the future, or maybe not.
But, for now and perhaps forever this is the end...
I've never been good with goodbyes so before I left for Basic, I made this video.
Pretty much sums up the legacy I'm leaving behind with my story -
The Comeback
Thank You Reading!
Spoiler
"TRAVIS! *****************************!"
"Calm down Sergeant! Do you talk to your daughter and grand kids like that?"
"Don't make me beat your ***. Let's move!"
It's pretty obvious my next Comeback isn't suitable for this blog.
Thanks a lot for this awesome journey, I look forward to reading this each and every time I log onto Daily. Now that it's over, I expect something better for PCM14.

@Jesleyh: I like theories. But no, that is not correct. Good guess though. For my sake that is the last time I'm going tell somebody if their theory is right or wrong. Just did yours because that's the main theory almost everyone will come to when reading the finale.
@Dippofix: I'm blaming JDog. He spoiled it well in advance.
I also may have played up the war a bit too much. However it needed to be done so the other factors in the last last season added up.
@Ian Butler: Thanks for taking the journey with me.
@BBL312: Fixed. There just had to be one spelling mistake.
@547984: Thank You for following. I will be back and it will be better. Not to jinx myself, but I'm hoping it will blows this out of the water.
I have learned a lot from writing this epic tale and will use that insight in my next story, which as Jesleyh pointed out, is coming this summer!
Departing Questions
I'm looking to do better in my next project and I don't want this to die quickly,
so here are a few departing questions I have to end this story on a high note.
I'll leave this open for a few days before I shut it down and leave for good.
Best Season? / Best Episode? / Best Moment? / Best Race? / Best Plot Twist?
And Any Suggestions For Improvements Are Always Welcome.
Or Perhaps Any Questions You Felt I Left Unanswered.
Again, Thanks For Making This One Of The Most Popular Stories Ever!
I actually have no clue, Mre. I liked all.
I did really like the track part at least, that part of the game really is barely used in stories(which kinda makes sense, but still)
Best part for me was that the Downhill stat went up, I think, after he was caught doping

If those DH points would have gone to HI, he might have won the WC in the end, maybe he could've hold on then?
Sorry, but the point of the story is that Travis doesn't get what he wants in life.
