Home again, home again. Well, not technically home but it will have to do.
Los Angeles the place where my dreams came true, and Chloe's too.
When I got back to the apartment Chloe greeted me with open arms.
She looked exhausted, tired, and most of all rather depressed.
We hugged for a long time before I pulled back and asked,
"Is everything okay? You seem a little down."
"I'm fine. Just long hours at work, and... well, I miss Zooey and Joseph.
It gets a bit lonely around here. But, I'm happy to see you're doing just fine."
"I'm surviving, I wouldn't say fine.
Heck, I still haven't been offered a contract for next year.
As of right now I don't even have a job because Fox has official abandoned."
She hugged me again, she was desperate for any physical contact.
This was my chance to win her back... ... But I couldn't do it.
Not like this. She was an emotional wreck.
I couldn't allow myself to take advantage of her like this.
I still love her, but I missed being with my best friend more.
"It's tough, but we'll make it through. Whenever you get some time off from
New Girl we can go to Kansas and see the kids. I have money saved up
and I'm sure my mother wouldn't mind seeing my ugly face again."
She laughed. Then the doorbell rang.
A familiar face was waiting for me as I opened the door...
Spoiler
"Hey, wazzup! Long time no see Kyle."
"Yeah it's been a while. But I have to keep this brief I got a meeting to attend,
but I heard you were back in town and I have still been getting all your
cycling related mail and papers since I'm still technically your agent.
So, I guess the best way to put this is...
Do you want the Good News or Bad News?"
"Um, let's start with the Good News."

Desperate for physical contact again?
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"

What a joke. Everyone knows she's been banging a Fox Executive since mid season 13.

@547984: Travis learned, no baby #3.
@BBL: Whatever makes sense for you.
@baia: Wasn't suppose to be funny, but I'll take it.
@SSJ2Luigi: You'll find out soon enough.

I like to be here when I can
Not sure if I've already said it but there are too many Wizard of Oz references in the last season for my liking. Do you recommend I read the plot summary to better understand the end?
Damn, I've just remembered again it's ending

@Jakstar22: You keep dreaming.
@JDog: I bet you're no fun to go to the movies with, always shouting out possible endings.
@lluuiiggii: You have never seen Wizard of Oz? It's a classic. No you don't have to read a summary I just used it as a side plot at the last minute because I was astonished at how similar some of the connections I could make. Plus Zooey D played a role on a spinoff called Tin Man so it all fit together nicely.
Also for those following the WoZ references, Kyle was the Lion that gained courage and trust over the course of the story. I was going to throw that into the next episode but I couldn't find any room for it. (And I still haven't found a good place for a goose either. )

@sutty68: My Toto reference. (Thanks for defended me. )
@Ian Butler: It may be bad, but it's still a classic. Plus it added the little bit of extra depth I needed to make the ending feel more complete, at least that's my thought process behind it.
