What about GB then Atlanta 1996 1 gold medal, Rio 2016 16 gold medals so far, are they all on drugs too?
Wondered when Britain would get dragged into this.
The national lottery funding programme has generated millions which have been invested in sport since the mid 1990s. Correlating perfectly with the upturn in Olympic performance. If only we could do the same with our football team.
Which only proves his point that there might be another reason for China's increase in medals, right? Which is probably why he brought up GB in the first place, and not to accuse them of doping as well, right? Maybe turn your paranoia down a notch ...

Could be, except he actually asked the question of whether or not Britain were on drugs, which I answered. |

Incredibly stoked for him indeed, I'm pretty sure he's one of the most liked and well-known individual sports athletes here in Germany, and he deserves this so much.
He's for gymnastics what Schumi was for motor sports, I can't imagine how many young kids he got into trying that out.

I am saying China were not as good before, GB always had a rich Olympic history, I am Australian and they won no medals in 1976, but know they are doing alright and were expected to get top 5 in the medal table, because we are very sporting. China only started to perform very well just recently, not to say they were non-existent before. China were a very much non-sporting nation before and there national sports they are known for speaks for themselves. There aerobic capacity isn't great and never was a particularly sporting nation and also they did not compete for some Olympics in 1956-1980.
Be happy

Maybe fucking communism and millions dying on femine and represions during the decades has to do something with that? China was pretty much isolated from the outer world until 1980s, you seriously cant compare them with GB when it comes to olympics history...

Never mind Russia, that's boxing in the Olympics. Has always been rigged since I've been watching it.
Very disappointed to see the Opals knocked out of the basketball. They were undefeated and on track to win a sixth consecutive medal, then got beaten by a Serbian team in their Olympic debut who had only won two of five games prior.
After the hockey teams recording their worst ever finishes too, so much is reliant on the Boomers from tonight onwards. Lithuania should be a tough opponent, but at least we won't have to face the USA in a semi-final.

The 4 American swimmers who were robbed at gunpoint point have been told not to leave Brazil as the police want to investigate a number of inaccuracies with their evidence.
What's the betting they were actually robbed by a load of prostitutrs at a brothel |

I wonder what your reaction would have been if someone would have said that about some British athletes.

Are you crazy Alex? British athletes dont have time for brothels, they just train and train, harder than others

I would have said yeah probably and had a laugh seeing as it's not an unfounded accusation of drug taking. |

I mean China also has 1.3 billion inhabitants, which results in a extremely high amount of possible talents.

Apparently the Chinese media are labeling the Rio Olympics a failure so they aren't doing that great. As said, they have more potential athletes than anyone else so should be expected to do what they are doing.
Also, they score alot of medals in martial arts and racket sports. It's like Britain scoring lots of medals in cycling and rowing. There are lots of medals available in these sports so you can bump your total up to look better than you actually are. |
