Wow at Olivier.
He really looked the strongest today. In the end unfortunately a small gap to Kirsch but ahead of Lecuisinier and a lot of time on Morton and Lutsenko.
If he has a similar form on the final day, the podium is definitely possible. Beating Lecuisinier and Kirsch will be hard though.
Again a breakaway. |

Thanks for another nice report.
Blikra with another solid result, but for me also very good to see one of my riders up there about.
Very exciting final GC battle!

The breakaway AI in this race has just passed into absolutely f*cking ludicrous. Yet i still loved the stage and had plenty to watch and read

Too bad the breakaway streak will end in the TT
Great fight there nevertheless. The final two stages should be thrilling.

Woah, so damn close to the race lead. That aggression was exactly what was needed, and it paid off very well. Oliver surprisingly strong, but disappointing to see Morton so poor - bad daily form I guess. He will be back next year for sure!
Having the lead would have really helped in the TT. I expect Lecuisinier to be in Yellow after that now, so it's going to take another big Mountains effort to win it.
Afewerki abandoned from the race early into the stage (no crash, he just stopped)
C'mon tsmoha, I thought you'd have learnt by now that there is no animation for crashing out injured, so it only looks as if they stopped

Nice ride by Meintjes to move up to 7th. He'll need a very good day in the TT and other mountain stage to move up further, but I'm happy where he's now. Pretty sure Kudus was helpful in providing some assistance. He looks quite good in Project: Africa kit

He did indeed. Couldn't include all those details in the report, but Kudus did some relaying at the front of this group, before he got dropped then.

A little disappointing from Chamorro, but Heiner Parra isn't doing a bad job.
Great report tsmoha; a really good read

Good job by Quintana (even though he's not from my actual team).
But, Hoelgaard destroyed him. |

Good result here by Lecuisinier. Lutsenko is within striking distance now, and while Daan Olivier seemed stronger here, Lecuisinier really should be able to beat him. Maybe even in the TT. What a performance by him though!
Kirsch looks like the inevitable winner here. Lecuisinier might be able to level the efforts after the TT, but Kirsch is a better climber and should seal it in the final mountain top.
Great effort by La Lavandier, although I would have liked that to be Vasyliv instead, so he could have stayed in the fight for top 7. He is still in the top 10 though, and should get back into 8th (or almost) after the TT.
Really nice race so far, and amazing report.

Yeah a nice stage there - really hard one and good to see a bit of teamwork splitting up the pack.
A baptism of fire for the likes of Edmondson and De Bie - they battled quite well. Hoping for another breakaway attempt on the last stage - lets also see how that Privatbanker does in the chrono also. Nice to see lots of finishers also.

I'll take that as half a stage win. Congrats ember!
If only he would have done that in more races earlier in the season.

Entertaining stages, great reads and I'm still pleased with Michel Kochs performance. Hope he has still power left to keep the fight for the top 10 alive.

Wow! That was quite something from Hoelgaard.

And what a report, thanks, tsmoha. It was a pleasure to read from start to end. Very interesting GC we've got now. It should make for two more thrilling stages where everything comes down to the final mountain stage, which is brilliant.
Thanks, Mresuperstar! I hope his huge performance here and the one for you in Portugal are signs for what is to come next season and later when he's fully developed
