I was considered a spammer? Dammit.
You're more of a spammer in the 2nd table though, Luigi
Also, shouldn't your 9001th post be special, not your 9000th? I mean, as in ''over 9000''?

At least i can justify my high post count. Very varied across the forum (MG, EPIC, ICL, NFL, Amazing Race, Karl, Other Stories, F1, defending Mars, attacking Mars, admin stuff and just general discussion) but crucially almost nothing that is classed as spam (i'm flicking through my posts to confirm this).
There's definately a lesson in those tables though. "Posting does not make you a good member. It's what's in the posts that counts." As goes the ancient Chinese proverb... probably...
Equally i despise the thought that having a high post count makes you a good/valuable member. My other favorite forum doesn't have anywhere near the same obsetion with post count, instead just focusing on your actual contributions. This is to the extent that some of the most valued and popular members have 300-400 posts in the last 2-3 years (that said that community has a live chat where most interaction takes place and is a much more 'adult' place).

Yes you can definitely justify it
Just didn't expect you that high on the 2nd one, personally.
Sure posting a lot doesn't necessarily make you a good member. But having a long-term high post/day count helps you in being a valued member most of the time.
Looking at the first table, I see a lot of valued members up there, though that's all subjective of course.
I see your point though.

Did anyone else notice it was daily's birthday 5 days ago? (or when the first article was released) This means daily is now 8 years old!

Man, thanks for the motivation. i really need something to work towards to get my spamming powers back.
Edit: I can attest that SSJ2Luigi has been spamming more lately. As you can see, i was ahead of him in posts like 2 months ago, and now he is like 200 ahead.

I bet BBL noticed, it's his job to check if the first article is still alive
Site was created halfway October though, so I'm unsure what's actually PCMdaily's birthday.
@BBL
Yeah you dropped pretty low

I don't know, because I keep the first article alive as Jesleyh said, but the actual day the site went public, from the oldest member's join dates, was the 28th of November.

I do wonder when the first member who's younger than the site itself will sign up.
Oh and another thing: The main difference between Mars and literally everyone else is that "valuable" guys can justify their post counts by MG/EPIC/Stories/Helping others/maybe an initiative, rather than posting everything PCM related that crosses their mind.

Only way I can justify my lack of spamming is the departure of Admir. Period.
But you spent a Friday night doing this...Jesley you are so freaking weird
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Warning: Time-wasting statistical analysis ahead. Proceed with caution.
As a fellow stats nerd, I really appreciate that Jesleyh
There were a few surprises in the first table, but the second table seems to explain why some of those results were surprising.
For instance, I expected both Shonak and Dippofix to be higher up since I remember they used to post quite a lot earlier on, but as the second table proved they appear to have slowed down a bit. No offence intended guys
Also TMM, trekbmc and Matt being quite a bit higher on the second table doesn't surprise me much with how many contributions I've seen from them recently. As for sutty, we all know that's from following basically every story in existence On the other side of things, Lachi is lower than I thought he would be in both.
Finally, everyone after Valv in the second table doesn't seem to be active anymore from what I've seen, so chances are they'll keep dropping lower and lower in the first table, which also raises the point that they were much higher up a few months earlier.
Tables quoted below for quick reference.

Alright, I have something you guys could discuss
As a statistic lover, on a very quiet Friday night, I decided to fabricate a posts/day list.
But because it's inaccurate, I chose to calculate the ''effective'' posts per day. That is: Post count/(Day of last post - Day of first post)
Surely it's still not always accurate, but it gives a good idea. Obviously I couldn't do this with 104k of members, so I chose 28 recently active members that could score high on this list or the other list I made(more to follow on that).

So yeah, Ian still going strong here
Right, the other list is about recent activity.
Obviously the guys that recently quit the site(or took a break) are quite low on this, but it gives a decent image of recent 'contributors' I think

@Cycleman
Hmm, unsure, but you wouldn't really score high on either.
80 days and around 5 effective posts/day
@547984
Yeah I realise... Uhm, it was a very quiet night and didn't feel like gaming

Out of that list, yes. Like some have said, amount of posts =/= quality of a member, so nothing to be worried about.
