I don't really care what teams players are bought for and where the money goes. I'm more worried about what this kind of money might do to the minds and careers of youngsters like James RodrÃguez.

This is brutal, ban Monaco someone.
Barca out! Real out! PSG out! City out! Chelasea out! And all the other money machines out, play your own oil and debt money league.
Unfortunately, UEFA is a pathetic bunch of currupted businessmen.

Can't tell you how much I enjoy following Piers Morgan on Twitter
So. I just received a package from Manchester United press office. 'Robin wanted you to have to this.'

James RodrÃguez just became the 4th most expensive player in football history.
Monaco agreed €70M for the pair of him and Moutinho, but if the fee for Moutinho was above 11M then Porto would have to give Sporting 25%, so the deal is 60M for James and 10M for Moutinho
Apparently it's 45M for Rodriguez and 25M for Moutinho, but it's still crazy.
Porto have been pulling off some extraordinary fees these past couple of years (Falcao, Hulk and now Rodriguez). Quite a candidate for the most profitable club in the world? |

Carvalho 25, Pepe 30, Ferreira 20, Bosingwa 20, Deco 10+Quaresma, Quaresma 20, Lucho 18, Lisandro 24, Anderson 30....I could go on etc etc
Just good scouting and an amazing president who can negotiate very well.
When Jackson MartÃnez goes next season he'll go for quite a bit as well.
The economy of a portuguese football club isn' easy. The big three have gone with different strategies to cope with that.
Porto sell players for big money, Benfica rely of massive cash injections from the family of the president of Angola, and Sporting have apparently chosen to suck
Anyway, the reason they were forced to change it to 25+45 instead of 60+10 is that James had a 45 release clause, so they weren't allowed to "sell" for more.

Neymar will finally be sold. For about 30 million. Really hope he doesn't go to Barce or Real. But that looks unavoidable.
Could see something happening that involves Kaka going back to Brazil.

Belgium 4 - 2 USA.
Maybe there's a reason I never watch soccer (ahem, football.)

This, exactly. I've been saying since 2010 he wouldn't do shit when going to play in Europe; now it'll be the moment of truth
