18th is not the debut we hoped for from Halvorsen.
Congratulations hoekie and thank you for the report, Ulrich

Still no top 3 favorite sprinter to win a flat stage if I'm not mistaken.
It's as gamebreaking as last season unfortunately

A great start from Jakobsen in the sprint lottery to take 2nd as the best PT sprinter. Certainly gives me some hope for the result at the end. Feel a bit for some of the top sprinters but always a bit of a "you win some, you lose some" scenario.

Except for the "you win some" scenario, which doesn't really happen for top sprinters anymore...

Well, we continue our just-outside-the-Top10 stage results. Kaden didn't do much wrong here - picking Kanter's wheel would be a great choice on many other occasions, but not today. But looking at some of the guys behind him, we really can't complain. And with Aniolkowski winning the stage, on one hand that's many points going to PCT, and on the other hand Groves with pretty much the same stats could be able to do the same at some point.
Congrats to P4E, and commiserations to the top sprinter teams - sadly a recurring pattern...

Not a bad start for AKA to get some bonus seconds he was a bit too far back to sweep forward completely at the end, but it still is a solid result in a crazy field. Need more bonuses though to keep pace as the stages go.

Oof, AKA not even sprinting. Sucks.
Crazy that a leadout man comes second in the most competitive sprinter field imaginable. Congrats to Moser. Those kind of results are bizarre but I guess help make up for when top sprinters like Gaviria underperform elsewhere.

Though Stage 1 was bad with the poor positioning but good speed only leading to low Top 10, but then Stage 2 absolutely terrible with even worse position and never even looked like an outside Top 10 bet. Impressed he even came 16th from there. Not a good start to our season at all and especially disappointing 3 times in different ways from Mannine

This has gotten really rough! Congratulations to both alexkr and Roman, a great stage for both.
Lucky it’s early days this season, but seeing how Groenewegen has started his year, I’ll soon get worried. Very, very worried |

Some break attempts would be nice even if this might be one of the least attractive races for break attempts
Some wild stage results so far...

Would be nice if Duric can keep the white shirt until the TT. He's trying so I gotta give him that.

The train actually worked
And in the stage that was not redesigned too. Was there some strong tail wind or something?
Very happy to take the win here. It's been a couple of solid stages for Grosu so far, though I see other sprinters have not been so lucky.

Gaviria and Grosu running 1-2 so far, that would mean Cullaigh would be in the top 5 right... right???
Terrible terrible results so far and it all stems from not being remotely in position rather than a failed lead out. We still have 3 stages left but I'm not hopeful of anything good happening for us...
Congrats to alexkr for the first win by a sprint fav thud year! Hopefully there's more to go around...

Ouch... Looks like Groves just doesn't have the legs this year so far. Perfectly positioned, but unable to gain any spots. Tailwinds as suggested by alex could indeed be the reason for the frontrunners not tiring this time, which obviously is fantastic for Grosu who's doing a great job so far. Congrats to Rabobank!

My lead-out man Nommela beating Gaviria and getting podium place, well your great analysis of my team's leadout ability cannot really beat PCM AI craziness, Mr Croatia.
Overall not a bad start at all, it will be a lot interesting if my team tries a lead-out again, who even knows if it may work out quite well after all. Another crazy result like this would put Nommela into a great position for final TT and an unexpected points haul.
Congrats to fjhoekie and alex.

Some good bonus seconds for Korsaeth. Might mean that he can do a decent GC in the end, but all in all not the race with the biggest expectations for us ...

Looks like it may be a quiet race until the TT, but will keep hoping Van der Lijke will be randomly designated worthy of joining in the sprint battle proper!

So close to get another stage win there. But second place and extending the lead in the GC is a great result. Congrats, bbl!
