Kragh Andersen absolutely destroying the prologues this year
As always, nothing going on for us in time - trials. Let's see what we can do in the "regular" stages.

Not amazing for Quintana, but I'm really not worried about the prologue for actual time gaps. Congrats to Aker! SKA is such a beast. I want him so bad!!!

Hsu and Sosa lead the team here. Especially in the sprints I have some expectations after Hsu won two tour stages last year. The start was already decent. There’s just no beating Andersen in prologues this year. Thanks for the preview and looking forward to the reports. |

Thank you for the report, UU! And that is some way for Rabobank to strike back after their Giro. Congratulations on the win, alexkr!
Very happy with Prasad, as he clearly decided to join the sprint action. Feared he might not early in the sprint preparations, as he was nowhere to be seen. Netting 6th and some minor points is a good start. Hopefully he continues to join the sprints! Kragh closing the gap and securing the jersey for another day was very good, as we take everything we can get from the early days here.
Another two flat chances for Prasad before we get to the GC battle, I expect. Speaking of the latter, we're very fine with Preidler dropping on that first stage and sitting dead last in the GC. Should make it very easy for him to prioritize breakaways over passive racing when we get to the mountains |

Ocampo and Van Dijke flying our flag in the opening couple of stages
Much needed win for Rabobank with Van Poppel already resting the ghosts of the Giro. Congrats alex!
Thanks for the report Ulrich!

Guess AKA is too high up the favorites list. After Sureda's success at the Giro, I can't exactly complain. It will be funny if Sureda outscores AKA in GT's though.
Aranburu losing 3 minutes is pretty funny too.

Wonderful result from Bouglas. More of that and he has a shot at becoming a greek hero :-)

Our only depth GC rider is already 3 minutes down after just two stages

Thank you, guys!
Van Poppel bouncing back with the first occasion after the Giro is very nice to see.
The team here is made for Foromolo, with Van Poppel as a wildcard, so we are not really made to chase breakaways on the flat or do lead-outs. Not sure how I feel about Formolo wasting his energy in the flat stages, but hey at least we got a win out of it.
Van Poppel leading the points classification and also having a shot at red in the next two stages is very important points wise.
But despite my team's success, it sucks to see PCM at it again, with the big favorite of the stage not making the top 10.

Blums losing time is certainly interesting. I dont really like it but could of course be valuable down the line if he gets early break freedom. Certainly one thing to watch.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

A good prologue by Silvio, gaining some more time than expected on Kudus even. Not that it'll matter much by the end, I suppose, but that result and 17th in the sprint shows a good attentiveness early on.
Somehow, every other rider bar O'Brien managed to be dropped today in that comparably small group. I'm unsure whether that's energy saving or incredibly risky...either way it's not a good start in the teams classification, if there was going to be any chance in that to begin with.

Another very fine sprint from Hodeg. Hopefully the mountains will not take too much energy out of him

I probably shouldn't have sent AKA to a GT, but I'm not sure what else I was supposed to do.

Solid start to the race from us but not yet setting the world alight.
Thomas just outside the Top 10 in the opening stage which isn't too bad but he could have done a little more.
Thijssen 12th on Stage 2 wasn't the best start but he's turning it around with 5th in that latest stage. I would like to see him fighting for the Points classification but that's going to be challenging.
In terms of the race and the GC, Tim Wellens should be fighting for the Top 5. The first 3 are certainly stronger individually and so will be difficult to overcome. However, we have a strong team behind Wellens in Rodriguez, Conci and Soler. I'm hopeful that this support, and the lack thereof for the Top 3, means we may be able to give Wellens the firepower he needs to get onto the podium.
Let's race

No sprinter in our team so just staying out of trouble is ok with us, thanks for the race reports so far Ulrich Ulriksen!

Bouglas very close to adding another point, but unfortunately just missed out. On a day where both top sprinters got hit by the AI-fuck up train, he should have been sneaking into the top 10, though.
Great to see Mengoulas snatch the KOM. Can’t wait to get him back next season.
Congrats on a great win to Prasad!
