Not totally happy with the TT as it seems we lost more time on the cobbled section than before. I had expected to make up time on them. But anyways let's see what the next stages bring! |

Ok that’s officially the lowest point of our team’s history… Zabel’d by fucking Tom Scully
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Why does Kalaba perform best when there are no points on the line?
Still happy though!

I genuinely feel sorry, didn't expect this at all as Scilly didn't do anything all you, but he certainly didn't like his former team and found some extra motivation to deliver the bacon.

Everyone starts performing here, aren't we secretly a PT team?
Good to see Bossy Hagen doing something good for once!

Solid start to the race. No time lost on the two last stages and good to see our main guys quite near the front in the end here at stage 3. Now let's try to shake things up on the cobbles!

Really looking forward to Stage 4, with Kamyshev and Senechal both more than 4 minutes behind in the General Rankings they hopefully will be allowed to get in the (winning) BotD!

Going well so far. Aregger gave it a good shot in the sprint and got very close to the podium, and the hilly stage was uneventful with both Cavagna and Ganna attentive in the first 30 positions.
Let's hope the cobbled stage follows that concept. The smaller the break, the better. And if some of the aforementioned good cobblers that are down in the GC make it in there, there should be less firepower and interest behind to chase hard.

Shockingly tame this one, but we fail to get a good result or even try in the break. Also, RIP Uran.

Given there were no time gaps between the favorites, I guess Gerts didn't lose anything with that attack. Good too see him trying, but that seemed like a really long shot.
Nice to see Goldstein getting a few extra points with the KoM jersey.

Cobblestone stage races are really weird this year. Wisniowski, Senechal, Zepuntke, Kasperkiewicz all losing time. It's looking good for the Puma and Generali guys now, maybe Wirtgen and Würtz can still intervene though.

I think it's time to radically change the parcours, it just doesn't fit the "cobbled stage race with other influences"-type anymore the race used to have. We should put the TTT to the end at least the next time.

This has been an utter horror show from us, so I'm quite glad that for the first time we're not here desperately needing points to avoid relegation. Paillot is particularly disappointing looking at that TT result, in likely his last race for us.
Still, we should at least now go in breaks - and Cort Nielsen may sneak into the top 20 after the hilly stage. |

Wow this race is an absolute disaster, much worse than I could've imagined. Kasperkiewicz losing more than 3 minutes in the cobbled stage where 36 riders manage to come to the finish together is already bad enough, but Hsu as a top 3 sprinter getting 11th and 21st in his two chances so far makes it even worse. If Hsu doesn't win a stage now I'll leave with nothing after having brought one of the riders this parcour should suit the most and one of the best sprinters.
I said it before already but it was imo a overreaction to nerf the cobbles this much in this race, after they brought such big gaps two years ago. There is not really much point in a cobbles stage here, if it ends up being like this (already for the second time).
That being said the reports are great as always! Thanks, LLS! |
