17th by Skujins is far below expectations, no idea why he dropped to the very end of the group before the sprint, probably had a terrible day. Isostar clearly outscoring us again, partly due to Mohoric being better positioned in the sprint and partly due to much better depth, will hurt us. They have everything going the right direction right now.
Congrats to the PCT teams who did superb to steal the big points here (including useless Turgis) and nice to see De Bie delivering for once - outscoring the direct rivals here.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Well, 4th is better than nothing but still I need bigger points and it's unfortunate how often a 84 puncheur missed the podium, when a 4th actually is one of his best results all season.
It's gaining on direct rivals, which is most important and hopefully he can continue to regularly score in his remaining races.
Most unfortunate that his team support was dropped early as Zardini and Vliegen showed in the end, they still had energy left also passing Carboni, who had a strong race actually.
Congrats to Desigual. Well played and also Farfetch for another Turgis show. Expect him to gain in OVL and wage. |

Farfetch really just dominating the division here with another overperformance. Also nice to see a Brit win with Yates as well!
Glad I avoided this band as well considering the stacked competition here!

Formolo was doing well until that positioning error dropped him in the finale. Once he got back to the front the tank was too empty to sprint. Positioning seems to be his main weakness this season.
Kangert was very strong, but I don't understand why he was playing leadout while Formolo was at the back of the group. Had he saved that energy he might actually have finished top 15.
Great job by Yates and Turgis; congrats!

Awesome report. The team-performance was all the way between amazing and questionable. The team did really, really well as a whole, our doms did plenty of great work. Mohoric however was inattentive, and 9th surely is not the place we hoped he'd end up with such a strong team supporting him at the end, especially in terms of quantity. Still, our depth makes up for a good points haul which is very nice given the close standings atm.

I'm going to write off my riders more often
Slightly disappointed with Yates, but it figures that he must have burnt himself out working for Turgis - and considering I hoped for a top 10 from him at best, I can't complain.
Turgis continues his great season despite me being convinced at the start of it that his low Mountain stat would sink his chances. Knowing what I know now I'd have given him more leadership opportunities, but it's a lesson learned at least. Great depth scoring from Guerreiro and Bettiol as well makes this an amazing race for us. Hopefully with decent scores in Andorra and Arab Tour we can cross the 3500 point mark and have promotion all but sown up with 2 months to go.
Congrats to Mre, and thank you for a great report bbl! |

I must admit that I hoped for 5th rather than 10th, but at one point it seemed like there was no Festina-riders in the first 3 Ground at all. Boily decent, just like Barta, Kastrantas and Van Niekerk. But in a PTHC that just doesn’t really amount to anything.

I can’t believe Bakelandts actually put in a bit of effort 6th is decent enough considering the startlist. Closing in on his last race for us it’s bittersweet. Congrats to Desigual on a stellar victory and thanks for the report!

Brilliant report! Thank you, bbl.
It was great to see Kwiatkowski try to attack, must say I really got optimistic there. Admittedly that only made the disappointment bigger when he dropped.
Huge win for Desigual, and impressive to see Turgis up front too. Congratulations, both! EBH being best of the PT riders only in third place feels weird |

Brave ride by Chernetskiy, too bad Sagan neutralized his attack. Thanks for the report baseballlover312!
