Meintjes with a pretty active start which is good to see, shame we didn't press our advantage but in the end I hope this style of racing is a sign of things to come!
The extra KOM points come in handy as well.

Great effort from Boswell. Too bad it cost him time, but in the end Dombrowski winning is what matters most so we are in objective for now.

Cool stage with those dirt roads and nice report.
Formolo was in a good position; shame he couldn't sprint to a podium place. Congrats alex

At least we can always trust in Kudus to get us good results. Too many people still on s.t. though, not comfortable with it

Solid effort from Hacecky, though these big groups coming home together is worrisome

Would have been cute to se Martin take a stage win and the jersey, anyway he is doing fine, hope to see that continue.
Thanks for a great report.

Right, almost half the team sent home, can we now finally join some breaks?

Good to see that Dombrowski retained the yellow jersey, but I hope the other mountain stage will see him actually attacking because the bonus seconds game is a dangerous one.

Vanspeybrouck you sly dog! That was quite the win. Just shear power and strength to survive in that sprint. I thought he was done scoring after Battenkill, but he proved me wrong! He's put in a great campaign this year. It's gonna be sad to see him go.
I'll be honest, after the initial break went, I was fuming. How could we lose our main sprinter, have no GC guy, and then still not get in the break? But just this once, the team had a better plan than me, and we pulled it off.
The crazy thing is there's a nonzero chance that he just scored more with the one stage win than AKA would have in the rest of the sprint stages combined. Probably not, but it's possible. Still, with the fall classics season seeing our competitors scoring big, something like this won't matter too much.
But hey, it's always nice to win.
Thanks for the report Ulrich!

Good outcome for Dombrowski given that he gets to keep both the yellow and the green jersey.

Well done Carlsberg. Putting a guy with a big engine like Vanspeybrouck in that break was a clever move. Congrats bbl

Rosas, do you know what breakaway means? You were in it, then stay in it, especially if it is the winning move.

Good to have VSB in the break again. Lightning doesn't strike twice, but at least he gave it his absolute all. He really can be a beast in breaks on flat stages when the AI gives him the chance.

Oh yes, going in the break is a step forward but I expect you to battle for KoM points then, and not sit there doing nothing.
Somehow Martinez and Haga lost 1'50 today but it did not impact their GC by much. My only hope is that either of them can get in the break on a mountain stage now.
Thanks for the reports so far UU!

Some weird AI from us in stage 4... Glad we've managed at least something in the sprints with Redecker's 4th place, maybe he can do one better :/
All in on Meintjes now, lets pray for a good day

As expected, GC hopes sit firmly on Ji's shoulders as Boily has been consistently losing time (most annoyingly in the most recent sprint stage). After his stage victory on stage 1, Contreras was in the mix again on stage 5, and decent on stage 4 (behind the break). Still in the hunt for a good position in the green jersey compettion, just needs to take it steady going on the upcoming mountain stage. Let us see what Ji can do on the tough stage coming up.
Thanks for reports!
