Is that Vantomme in sixth? So he can sprint apparently...

Thanks for the congratulations every one! Great to see Tosh performing the role I signed him for perfectly - he's not the quickest, but his versatility makes him a great asset. Hopefully McCarthy can do something on the hilly stages, as we don't have anyone riding for the GC here, although Stage 5 looks like it may also suit Tosh depending on how hard it's ridden. |

Just illustrates how bad that first stage was. But we hit our key goal for this race and i look forwards to the TT. When this team clicks, we are incredibly strong and well designed, but ugh if only PCM would work more often!

I think this stage shows the problem isn't with the sprints it is what happens before that - it is too hard to bring the breakaway back and the sprint teams end up killing themselves and/or splitting the pack and dropping their own lead outs. Here the GC teams did the work caught the break early and run in was pretty calm. I like 18 AI except for Sprints. 17 was worse, haven't played 19 wonder if that is better.

Fuchs and Schappi, that has to be the worst leadout train of all time good for Reinhardt on getting the podium.
Thanks for the reporting Ulrich, its been an entertaining race so far!

Would of course had preferred a more hilly TT, but I'd say that was pretty decent from Stake Laengen. Now let's see how the hilly stages will go. Could be interesting to see who tries to control it, and hopefully we can also join the BOTD on the next stages.

Nothing particularly bad or good from Bazhkou, hopefully we go well in the hills. A shame Morne didn't get the U25 jersey overnight considering he was the top guy as far as I can see.

Another fine day in the saddle. How the race will get tougher and our weak squad won't keep up but we are glad we made an impact up to this point.

Solid TT by Boaro. Very curious how selective the coming stages will be.

Bad in every way, no challenge for a top classification and Claeys losing (expected) loads of time. But now we head onto his terrain.

On the podium with Sergent is ok, no issues there. Happy to see Goose sliding into the Top10 as well, pretty much as we hoped for this part of the race. Fingers crossed for a few breaks to top it off

Monster performance by Koren! 5th is going to be hard to hold on to but the last stage shouldn't be too selective I hope...

My boy has done it! What a monster ride from Areruya, thought he was well out of it but that was amazing to grind everyone off his wheel and catch everyone out ahead, amazing! Wow that is great And the white jersey plus second in KoM too is awesome and takes my mind off the absolutely awful GC showing
And sorry Tamijo, but since it's the first one of the season iirc...

Exciting stage! Would have liked to be in the break, but I can't really complain after such a good performance from Stake Laengen. A good GC result looks very possible now, especially as the last stage doesn't really look that selective. That being said, the hill stat will probably be more important, and that's the weak point for Stake Laengen...
Thanks for the report, Ulrich Ulriksen!

Congratz to jandal, Fansatic win, was a fun read even though a bittersweet ending for us, thanks a lot for the report.
When the dust have settled and Pichon stops crying, we can not be unsatisfied quite the opposite a great race for us.
