Well, good start to the race Kennaugh was invisible in Praha, so this is a nice comeback for him. |

Well that wasn't awful, but hardly something to be excited about either. Still trying to figure out how PCM18 handles sprints, still drawing a blank beyond random dice roll. Got two stages to make some progress!

Well, it appears we're heading straight for a total desaster here, negating most of the positive momentum from Praha last week.
And it's especially annoying that two of the other 82 sprinters are leading the race, and from strong teams at that.
We need a podium tomorrow, else things will look rather grim again after the cobbles if we are to challenge Moser, Air France and whoever else will emerge towards the top (not that I expected that before the season, but y'all said we would...).
It doesn't help that we won't get a single point from our 7 domestiques either, they could really bother to at least get into the Top 50 and get some U25 points, not finish 147th and below on the day in a stage race entirely decided by the sum of placements beyond the first 20 riders.

Impressive stuff from Kennaugh here, congrats so far CT!
A boring race for us so far. Need to get a man in the break tomorrow.

6th... Normally that would be laughable, but unfortunately it's among Coquards best results this season.............

Wow, Kennaugh avoiding the curse of the yellow jersey. Pretty impressive to have the GC as good as secured with two of three sprint stages done. Congratulations again, CT!
For Swift, that was obviously a big miss. Unfortunate that he couldn't get into the top 10, be it the lower top 10 or a better placing. Luckily for him though, the "big" bonus seconds were mostly taken by other riders compared to stage 1, meaning a good GC placing is still possible. Hopefully he can find his stage 1 legs again and do well on the final stage, as the overall podium behind Kennaugh is still a possibility.
And thank you for the reports so far, Marcovdw |

Does PCM18 just not like sprints? Or is it just something weird with the MG DB where we so regularly get these flat line finishes? Used to be a fun scenario on PCM15 to see one, less fun when it's every stage and stats don't seem to play a role.
At least we're leading the U25 competition and have a shot at the Team win. Seal those with another Top5 and this race wasn't awful. But putting all my eggs in the sprint basket... ouch... at least i didn't rely on a low MO rider!

Completely anonymous race so far as expected, but on top of that my team got royally screwed by the AI as they tried to reel I imagine Martinelli back in the front of the race. Really need to get rid of all my """sprinters""" next season. Can't complain tho the way this season's been going.
Thanks for the reports so far Marco!

Pluchkin in the Top10 of a flat stage race. PCM 18 is amazing
Great effort by Sep, but how stupid was him to lead the group into the sprint and then be dropped. 11th in GC is obviously way more than we could have expected, helping to recover from Praha's disaster, but if he had been second in the stage as he should have by sprint, 7th in GC would have been the result

Like expected we gain nothing here. But it was nice to see Teunissen try.
That last stage was pretty entertaining.
Thanks for the reports

Wow, really loved that from Wisniowski! Extremly strong break, and they surely never gave up. Fantastic way to save an otherwise rather boring race for us. The rest of the team didn't really follow up, but all in all the race ends way above our expectations. Hope Wisniowski can keep his good form going in to the next races now!

Despite finishing 7th and 11th not really happy here.
The one day where Groenewegen had a good sprint to improve in the gc he drops a position due to the break...
Shouldn't happen really but the break was strong here.
Still happy my team was focused and ahead of any splits. |

Right, so from a group of 24 riders, which we led to the line, Coquard still can only barely get a top 10. Horribly performances from him all over the place.
Atleast we soon move away from the races he's part of. He should be well above 1000 points at this point with his calender, but no... Atleast Karatzios got a decent result here.
On the good side, I can save 1mio or more in wages next season when I skip all my sprinters.

Good stage by Swift, just a pity the breakaway was up the road to deny him a very nice jump in the GC standings. Though, with such engines up front it was always going to be difficult to catch then, and it seems to be a thing in PCM 18 that a breakaway on the final stage will always be very, very difficult to catch.
Congratulations on the stage, tastasol! And also to CT on a deserved win for Kennaugh, having shown he was the best sprinter here winning both proper sprints. |

Happy with Grosu taking third here. Lampaert being a nice bonus as well.

Wasn't awful. Top5 GC brings good points, Youth continues to bring points, and our stage results arn't awful either. Plus a small bonus through Supa-Nova getting a Top15 GC in the end! Although when your entire season is built on races like this you have to accept relegation is inevitable (well we knew that anyway, but the random dice of PCM18 continue to feel ever more random with each passing day).
Although we will happily buy up Coquard or any other sprinters people don't want! I'm 110% in on this plan
