Feels good to see Mohs struggle to get a result here in terms of our own chances in sprints in CT this year. Impressive to see Guarneiri continue to dominate the sprints.

Feels like the predictions about Modolo having a too high Acc for Lo Cicero turned out to be true from the first race on still a very good result. Rowe with a nice move, but they paid here for not bringing Houle foolishly surely.
I have the bad feeling that Szalontay will hurt Mohs quite a couple of times this season. Silvestre my disappointment of the day.

Wow Guarnieri, great sprint and awesome start for Delvaux, congrats Sykkel! Not good for Degenkolb though...
Nice to see Rowe with some attacking intent but it wasn't to be. Still, with him hanging on to 13th, and our new man Morne van Niekerk sneaking 5 points in the minor places, it's not so bad here. Thanks for the report Aquarius, and awesome to see the PCT underway

Very pleased with the result. First goal of the season achieved and a podium place in a HC event is something to be happy about.
Congrats to Delvaux. Great way to make themselves known in PCT. Guarnieri should have a fun season.
Thanks for the report Aquarius! I noticed that Avelino did not wear his custom NC, any idea why?

Well, I guess that went about as expected once we realised it was a flat course, hopefully this is my only mistake made in planning otherwise what was already going to be a long season will end up torturous.

Thanks everyone!
What a great way to start the season for Guarnieri. We brought a very strong team here to support him, and even though he did most of the work on his own, it's very nice to see that paying off! I was afraid the race was a little on the short side for him, but he shows that he's got the speed to compete with the very best.
Good race for Europcar too with 3 people inside top 11, though I imagine they had hoped the train would work out better. Modolo came very close to an upset, though!
Thanks for the report, Aquarius!

Hell yes!! Kip showing his guns early on, great to see him finish 7th and prove he can handle the big boys despite no leadout and help from Colbrelli/Tzortzakis, and a big kudos for Sakala netting some minor points and being active.
Congratz Sykkel what a start

Does not feel good to me... looks like he has come down with the same sickness as Keukeleire on the team... hopefully it is just a hiccup being in a PCT field and his performance in Tachira will need to reassure my hopes for this year.
Well done sykkel and thanks for the report aquarius

Ciolek very badly positioned in a race where it's all about position in the final few km. Mezgec getting a few minor points is ok though, but I'll need better results in the future.
Congrats to Sykkel, looks like Guarnieri hasn't missed a beat
Thanks for the report Aquarius

Congreat to Sykkel_Freak and thanks for the report.
Was scary how bad we performed just have to believe this was not our level in every sprint.

I think I can live with 2nd in such unpredictable race. It could end much much worse for our team easily.
Congrats Sykkel to amazing win and thanks Aquarius for the report!

Didn't think an improvement was possible to last season but here we are Saber continuing where he left off and we can only hope that this is a sign of more good things to come. A bit disappointing to not have any other of our train finish in the points but that's fine for the first race of the season I guess. Kudos to Boudat for being the second best finisher for us here. Rowe with a great try to steal it but just came up short!
Congrats sykkel on the win and thanks for the report!

I had to say, its a good start from Maksimov. Maybe in some stage races, in a lessser packed stage he can do better.
Congrats Sykkel to the win and thanks Aquarius for the report. |

Congrats to Sykkel, and thanks to our opening day reporter. Some teams already of to a strong start with multiple scorers contributing to a heady ppRD haul.
Little expected from ISA-Hexacta here in such a stacked 1-day sprinter field; only here because of the band choice. Feng showing his face up front gives some hope that our flat-beast approach to sprint races may come together occassionally when start lists not so packed, or more realistically in flat stages of more undulating stage races.

Great win by Guarnieri! Congrats Sykkelfreak
I thought Modolo had it there, but Guarnieri was superior this time.
I have such a weird feeling after this. I'm super happy with the team effort, super happy with my sprint train, super happy with my lead out, and pissed off with myself and my captain |
