Should have done better from a very good position (and snagged some bonuses for tomorrow if it's non-selective ) but 4th is okay from Rowe. Now for the fun stuff
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

This is one of the weirdest and funniest top3 ever in the MG history I guess.
Not that the opponents were super strong but Guerao or Appollonio are far more complete sprinters.
Congrats for a very rare Meyer stage win. |

That is a beautiful top 3, was cheering for Thorsen but will take that amazingness! Gratz Vien (And Sutty )
Nice of Kwiat to stay near the front in the sprint, made me smile to see Gunnar as the first Netia rider and almost in the top 20 too. Bring on the worrying and exciting cobbles!
Thanks a lot tsmoha!

Vinther gave it ago and König got through without problems. Just as planned.
Now for the real race!

Yaay Meyer! Inconsistant as hell but whenever he scores he decides to make it count
The pressure is off now, let's see what else we can do. Thanks for the grats and keep it up with the reports tsmoha. |

Great speed from Giacoppo at the end to get a surprising 8th place. More of that, please!

And that's why I send the cobbles squad Stage win, GC lead, points lead, KoM lead, teams lead, U25 second place. Let the points flow to me
Two riders in the break cooperating well, with Lindeman finishing off the hard work. Shame Zepuntke couldn't finish ahead of Owen else we would be leading every classification.

Very nice job by Riesebeek. So far the gamble of sending a hybrid as leader is paying off.Now hoping for some smaller time gaps in the mountains.
Grats though Marco |

Hmm, didn't really work for us there. Bridges did nicely in the break but a total lack of action or effort behind is very dissapointing. We won't win this race, and looking at those gaps i doubt we'll get a Top10. Just wasn't raced hard enough to get the nessesary gaps and given we had numbers i only blame the team.

Would have been great if Andersson had managed to get in that break, but I guess he only had the power for one move. A pity... Some selective stuff here, that's for sure, but the two big favourites before the stage, still stands as the two biggest favourites... Looking forward to see that battle.

Well, ehhhh. I can't say I'm too disappointed, as I never knew how this would turn out.
Nolf at least did something in attacking early, and I'm happy for that for sure, but I knew he was never going to place well in that sprint. VSB likewise didn't do much. The cobbles just weren't hard enough anyway.
And I think that's the big story here. The cobbles were not the deciding factor. This is a race for the climbers, as proven by the fact that GC guys with 60's in cobbles stats did just fine today.
GC wise we have basically no cards now. JJ looked decent for a while, but cracked out of contention. I guess I just hope we go hard for stages the next two days. both Garby and JJ should be able to do well. Of course, you could have said that about my team in the last two stages as well though, so I won't get my hopes up.

Awesome ride from Debesay beautiful tactics and just ran out of road for the stage win. Disappointing to miss out on a win after it looked like he provided a lot of power to the break but it's more about the GC gains for the next two days. Hope he can be our leader and hang on for somewhere in the top 10. But who knows what the next two stages will bring for gaps. Bennett did well backed by Rowe and Jams, but ultimately lost too much to the proper all-arounders to fight for the top 5 GC. Hopefully he keeps up his hilly form (1st and 2nd so far) to help him out and tbh could even overtake Debesay. No idea how the gaps will go
Thanks for an entertaining report tsmoha

Nice try by Tempier. This was exactly why I brought him in. If he had a really good day, he could have done even more here.
It will be very interesting to see how well he can hold on in the final stage here.

That was only to be expected. Went here for the one stage and it paid off, now it's salvaging Lindeman's points classification.

Riesebeek 4th feels like a dream result. Don't forget he's just 70MO, but he isn't the best puncheur either so this can go either way.
Looking forward to tomorrow! Sorry for trek though
