18 points to Newton, where its not just up to Froome and TVG to secure that team battle. As defending champion a podium should be the minimum goal. All in all it will be tense and since we don't have the deepest squad, Froome kinda needs to beat TvG, which he has done before. Schreurs shouldn't be underestimated either, so may the best team win

This is it. I really wish PCM had an understanding of the point standings because I fear TVG will go all-in to beat EBH again and if it fails, he will suffer.
A second place and hope for the best behind would work for me.
8th to 5th on the final day of the season would be crazy.
Good luck everyone.

32 points separating them. That close!
Indosat are on 2612 as well, but their season is over.
How is it looking in the fight for 10th place?
I just hope Daniel's terrible result in Kigali doesn't screw this up for us. For that Moazemi will need to show his better side in this race. Go Arvin!
Thanks for the preview Aquarius, looking forward to the report. |

After a dreadful mid to late season, marred by underperformances, we have made it by the skin of our teeth. All season we got a total three wins, all 3 in February, two of which were stage wins. After April, few races other than the Tour of Japan and Giro dell'Emilia were high scoring for us, so a very very dramatic fall for us only saved in the final races. Can't say I'm not super relieved with that result. Still, despite our team having the potential firepower for mid-table, the formulas said we should come last, so maybe we should count ourselves lucky.
Feel really sorry for Valio and MOL though. Thanks for the fight and best of luck coming back up in 2018!
I'm not sure about the full promotion result yet so I'll a full comment on that and other elements of the season when it comes, for now, congratulations tastasol on closing out an excellent season for Eddy the Bos and your team in style though and thank you Aquarius for the excellent finale, as well as all your reporting throughout the year!

Congrats to Grieg on the division title - lovely squad and well-earned. Eddy Boss is... a boss.
Spoiler I'm very sad about the betting crash seeing my $10,000 bet on them
Sad to see Valio go down especially, but glad for our friends at Netia. If later today goes well, hopefully we can see them soon in the PCT! Thanks for a great report as usual Aquarius.

Thanks wasn't sure we were still ahead of Eritel after Kigali.
Moazemi crashing is the perfect end for a terrible last month for us. So much scoring potential wasted in almost all races. However, thanks to Guerao's performances it still seems like we could secure that 10th place.
Thanks for the report Aquarius and congrats tastasol once again. |

I guess this season had to end with an EBH win. Congrats, tasta. And glad TVG finished it off with a 2nd. Thanks for the report!

Decent outing at our farewell party from PCT. Mohoric stayed ahead of Reichenbach, which should be enough to maintain second? What an awesome season we've been having! Quevedo with a decent supportive race in what looks likely to be his farewell race too, good job!

Crap...Bye PT.
Froome pushed too hard and with that even Ferrero stayed in front of us. This and Barbados really wasnt in our favor.

Thanks for the kind words, guys!
Perfect finish to the season. PCT title secured and also the individual standings. A truly record breaking season for EBH, being the first to go over 1500 points in the PCT.
It was an interesting fight for 5th, but in the end TvG showed his class. Congrats on that, mre.
And thanks for the report, AQ!

Well that ended slightly disappointing, but tbh I don't really care about that anymore. Just gotta get some better leaders next year and hopefully fight for promotion for once.

Netia stays in pct
Sorry for the relegating teams, especially Valio has always been one of my favourite teams but all of them can return stronger.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

7th from Caruso is a great result from him. If only he could have shown this form throughout the season. Thanks for the report! And can't wait for the final standings.

Congrats to Grieg and thanks to Aquarius for the amazing and detailed report!
A podium here by Juul-Maar is a perfect way to end the season. It's been a rough back half for a number of our guys, but today JJ put in a terrific ride and used his acceleration in the final to secure 3rd place. Great effort. Maybe he's getting into form just in time for the B Worlds. Either way, he and Appo over performing is what kept us in PCT, so they have earned their spots on this team.
Veilleux also with a solid minor placing and Mendes and De Maar both being in the major selection until the final climb was cool to see as well. We built our hills team around depth this year, and its impossible to know how much of an impact that made, but I like to think it made some for a guy like Juul-Jensen to be properly sheltered when he needs to be. He certainly had a good season for his stats.
Thanks to all who made this season possible!

Decent last show from Gautier, though he shouldn't be consistently worse than Juul-Jensen throughout the season.
Now lets hurry on to talent development, NC's and contract negotiations so I can start building a winning team for CT and get back up.
Thanks to everyone who have reported throughout the season.
