New team watch: Will be cheering for Philips or Kulczyk in the sprints. The latter also with a big race in store with three great leaders, can kickstart their campaign to make me some PCM$
Hochmann is glad to have your support, he just wishes he had more from our roster
And hopefully Penasa and co. can reward your faith with a victory and a few stage wins. Cheers for the pressure, though

Another race where there isn't the most pressure on our riders. Hope they can relax and make the best of it. Anything better than a GC top 10 would be a bonus. Kreder might be our best bet at picking up some points. Not sure we're strong enough to challenge for the other jerseys. The fight for climbing glory should be interesting.

Certainly gonna be interesting to follow the first fight between the big climber names in the CT.
With nearly everyone present despite the length of the race, this'll be a first vital indicator for many teams whether their mountain focus will pay off, as well as one of the few opportunities already for the pure sprinters (Salleh, Kip, Awang...) who will hardly find more suitable stages throughout the year than the three this race opens with.

It's gonna be an exciting race! We have as a goal a stage win and I believe that can be achieved. Sólis is certain to struggle on the hilly stages but our bet is on Rujano, and both of them have top-notch resistance that will benfit them in the long mountains.
A top 10 would be the least to expect, a top 5 the desired result. Both our leaders are considered underdogs due to the hilly stages but that will put the pressure on our opponents to make the moves. Also team's classification is achievable, we'll be on the look out.
Of course great preview thank you SN! As everyone already said it'll be a good race to see how many of the big-guns will climb this year and I wish everyone good luck. (and I'll need it for sure )

While we have a goal of getting top 10 in the GC here I doubt that Gaimon or Peterson can accomplish that. Our best bet is Gaimon or Rybakov to do something magical on the hills.

Kulczyk has been praised a lot for the transfers and now even Hochmann performs. Great start of the race for them and of course: congrats!
I like how close Leader came to the victory. Definitely a good sign for the race.

So, can Sonnery compete without a train?
No.
Oh well.

Absolutely fine with 5th and the potential of a Kip-Canelon train working out this season.
Didn't expect Hochmann to take the win though, wonder if he can keep this up! |

Nice start for our Polish friends, really didn't expect Hochmann to be successful at all given his low hill, so good to see that I was wrong there. Looks like we're the only Polish team without an early season win now. Also cool that Gatto sprints despite his very low acceleration.
Thanks SN.

Cool to see right in our first ever race a bit of recognition with Kireva. There are no real goals for the flat other than protection so everything went fine.
Congratz Kulczyk!

The leadout worked well but Salleh didn't have enough to finish it off, hopefully that is just race rust and he will be better on the next 2 stages.

Not the best sprinter here. No sprint train. Kreder did well I'd say
Thanks for the report SN!

More than happy with 3rd on a pancake flat like this one, where Gatto have no gain from his punch.
Congrats to Kulczyk - DMTEX/Booker a great start. Thanks so much for the report SportingNonsense, very enjoyable read.

Just Czech that out
First of all, thanks to everyone for the congratulations!
JÃri deserves those plaudits, didn't realise that was his first win since 2014! Love that he pulled the win off against a very competitive field, well done to Phillips, Campari, Eddie Stobart and Reddit. Sauber will have their day soon, I'm sure.
It's great to see the hours of scheming and planning paying off during the season, we're beginning to believe. Danny has been a believer since day one, thanks for that faith
And thanks for the report as well SN!
