Wouldn't have minded a stage win for Ulissi in a stage that really suited him, but don't get me wrong, 2nd is excellent. Would be great to see him perform in stage 2 and snatch a top 8, but I'm not expecting anything.
Congrats danny, deserved after a sub par year for Froome, and thank you roturn!

Hoped Ulissi would sprint better but alas.
What a start by Arrinera, now I'm scared

Wow after a season with places between 10-20 all season, Lavoine comes back and shows why he was the highest scoring rider in CT last season! This worries me a lot, cause I would rather have a good GC position than 2 stage wins, so hope the game doesn't star caring nothing for my team from here and on! xD
In 2 seasons of being in this game this is the 5th or 6th time we getting 2x stage wins after each other. CRAZY!

Good to stay safe for a day. Was slightly hopeful Pierzga would have a go in the sprint but that was unrealistic, it was better that he was on protective duties anyway.
Thanks Roturn and congrats once again danny!

3rd for Hayakawa, decent enough, and Kinoshita managed to move up the GC into 5th, I'll take it!

Stage 2 was good with Er Rafai in the break and adding himself to the KoM jersey battle. No sprinter in the group, so happy to finish with no losses as well.
Stage 3 and the TT I worried about... but why worry? Yes, Dowsett has lost a lot of time, but that result from Bille is top notch! He has been the surprise on the season for me, and continues to overperform in these types of TT stages and hilly races. 2nd on the stage, and taking the GC lead is great for the team.
The next stage should give us a chance to hold the lead going into the tougher stages of 5, 6 & 7, but I hope the added bonus of yellow gives Gaeten the chance of holding on.
Thanks for the report roturn

Van Winden confirms himself as incredibly consistent despite his 70 res. Great stuff, 3rd is about where I'd hoped to see him. Bille though? How did that happen?
Hoped Ulissi would be a bit better, but this is good enough. He's alongside with Kinoshita.

2nd in GC after the TT? That's great! A top 10 and beating Costa too is nice. Unfortunately he's only got 10 seconds on Froome, that's not a gap that will survive.
Thanks Roturn!

A minute down is quite a lot to make up for hilly stages. Kinoshita will need to attack from further down the climbs and make gaps, but with the way most hills go it ends up being a sprint in the final 1km and its more or less bonus seconds to fight for.

Oh nice TT from Froome, even Roche would've done well with that time 10 seconds down to Costa is a dream scenario for sure and Kinoshita being 1 minute down is just perfect. Guess we'll know more about predicting the GC after the next hilly stage. Overall everything has went as planned, keep it up team

Haugard once again doing a bad TT.
Hopefully Bystrom can show something in the next stages otherwise we have are best preforming riders so far this season compared to his stats Martin Reimer here. |

Very disappointed by Modolo's sprints so far, highly surprised, pleased by the GC performances of Didier(wtf), Vanendert and Gilbert. We didn't score much points yet but I beg, I BEG that we can finish this race on a high. We need the points.
Sorry for less inactivity. I've been in Warsaw the past days and in the meantime my roommate accidently unsubscribed our internet. So will be a bit more conservative with commenting now and then but follow race nonetheless. Go Didier!

I can accept this for sure, glad that the stage ended with no real competitor stealing vital seconds to us. Now let's set for an attack in the next days or try to outrace the 3 riders above Froome

I can't help but think that Ulissi should do a lot better in these kinds of stages, but his 74 sp is actually generally useless in these situations and it's pretty frustrating, considering I spent a milli on it. Whatever, congrats viking! And thanks roturn!

Congrats on the win Viking, it's good that PCM let's those sorts of attacks happen from outsiders.
PCM is absolutely right, doing well in a time trial improves positioning in a hilly stage by tenfold. Still, really pleased to see us getting a top 10 and being treated like a GC-Contender now. Bernas is also being a really good teammate, I think I underrate his flat/hill combo a bit.
Thanks Roturn!
