Congrats to Podium Ambition. Very close but deserved win. I hope Geschke can grad 1 stage later in the race.

Third and fourth is a great result but if we would've focused on one rider we might've won...

Manan didn't have enough left in the tank to sprint but at least our hopes for a top 10 GC are intact with our riders being the right side of the split.
Now I've got to hope this next stage isn't that selective or that the time gaps are at least fairly small due to the downhill finish making it look like the last summit is a fair way from the finish line.

Just catching up, we are all for Hacecky here, hoping for a top 5 and he is looking frisky on stage 1.
Well done Podium Ambition, sprinter strength in depth paying off.
Thanks to Roturn for the preview and report.

Fantastic report roturn! Jams really spoiling me last couple of months - two jerseys on his shoulders whilst he may even wear a third 6th on the stage is good and hopefully he can keep the KoM hunt up and have a good one. Nzeke and Diggle dropping could be good, bad or nothing at all but just glad the two climbers are safe. Grats to TMM, winning stages with a B team is the stuff of our wildest dreams
@Croatia - He's top 5 and will maybe go up Love him <3

Congrats to Ticos on a 1-2-3, great result for the team.
Martinez in the mix, fifth place is decent, looking forward to the TT now.
Thanks roturn for the report

Classic USAPCC! Why does this race always have overly dodgy AI? Shout-out to Grashev hanging onto the main group, you rule it Cobbles man!

De Clercq and Vervaeke staying in the main group is nice, but hats off to Ticos. 1-2-3 is amazing, especially on such a stage.

Kung probably should have done better there but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he dropped having spent all his energy working for Zoidl.
Speaking of which, seeing Zoidl stay in contact there should give him a chance of taking the leaders jersey in the TT and he should be strong enough to defend it on the hills if that happens which would set him up nicely for another good scoring race.
Ticos getting a 1-2-3 is crazy strong, De La Cruz getting the bonus seconds will also help him in the GC fight so that makes him an even bigger threat.

I guess our GC win hopes are pretty much gone after that one. De la Cruz has this one in the bag with the TT still to come. I'm a little conflicted about the crazy ass AI on that stage. I was really hoping Garby would be more aggressive on the climb, but I guess he could have lost equally as much time on the descent. In fact, I actually didn't realize until this stage how bad Garby's descending is. That will need to be trained in the future.
Having Ticos go 1-2-3 also takes time bonuses away from the other leaders at least, so a podium is still possible. And it's always nice to have Garby in the white jersey this early. Makes him easier to spot at the very least.
Great report Roturn, looking forward to the rest of the race.

Bye bye major GC hopes, we need every point Jams and Diggle will squeeze out of this one.

Impressive 1-2-3 for Ticos, and that puts De la Cruz in the yellow jersey hot-seat.
WCC managed to keep all 4 decent stage racers in the reduced front group, so still all to play for. TT won't do us much good, but the stages after offer hope as long as the TT doesn't create too much of a deficit to the top 10.

Nice 1-2-3 Ste!
Pleased to see Denz in the break, took the pressure off Kraftwerk to chase the break.

That leadout seemed perfect but then something went wrong and we lost ground. Good that Maranelli managed to recover to second, but not good that one of our rivals for fourth place takes the stage victory.
But still congrats on the victory bbl

Always interesting to see how inconsistent some riders can be, Docker is one of the best examples in the CT

This is why you don't use climbers as a lead-out Still, 5th place will do for Souper and put a few more points on the board.
